1927 ~ Agnes Heringer ~ 2019

Agnes Mary Heringer of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Calvin Heringer, passed away on Friday, April 19th, 2019 at the age of 91 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Richard (Liz) Heringer, David (Patti) Heringer, Shirley Klaudt and Don (Melanie) Heringer; her grandchildren, Keri Ann, Robert, Sarah, Rachael (Kyle), Stephen, Liam, Cassandra, Vanessa, Michelle, Mark (Jody), Jason (Rhonda), Justin (Kim), Jamie (Vanessa), and Callie; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Jordan, Cherise, Austin, Cohan, Morgan, William, Lila, Nora, Emma, Ashton, Harlow, Ashton, Evan, Amanda, Marrik, Cannon, Jessica, Nash, Janisa, and Mia; great-great grandchildren, Charolette, Kyrie and Kaide; two brothers, Charles (Lyla) Herbst and Robert (Charlotte) Herbst; brothers/sisters-in-law, Janet, Melody, Vern (Lena), Doris, Margaret, Viola, Frank (Diane); as well as many nieces and nephews. Agnes was predeceased by her loving husband, Calvin; parents, John and Gladys Herbst; brothers, Frank, Ed, and Aubry; sisters, Delores and Magdalene; brothers-in-law, Roy, Ivan, Earl, Art, Alan, Henry, Bill and Louis; and sisters-in-law, Vera, Violet, and Francis. Agnes was born at Foremost, Alberta on May 29, 1927. She received most of her education at Hoping School, then came to Medicine Hat and attended Garbutt Business College. She then went to work at Maple Leaf Milling Co. and then at Dominion Fruit Co. She met the love of her life Calvin Heringer and they were married May 30, 1949. After her marriage she worked for lawyer W.D. Gow and lawyers, Niblock & Stone. She also worked at the Co-op store for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking, baking, dancing and playing cards with their many friends. Her family, and especially her grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren, were the most important to her. Agnes will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 1Z5, on Friday, April 26th, 2019 from 6:00 to 6:55 pm and from 8:00 to 9:00 pm or at HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 1451 Strachan Road SE, MEDICINE HAT, AB T1B 4V3 on Saturday, April 27th from 1:00 to 1:55 pm. Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL on Friday, April 26th, 2019 at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at HOLY FAMILY PARISH on Saturday, April 27th, 2019, at 1:00 pm. A Private Family Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Section at Hillside Cemetery. 1928 ~ WILF SCHEUERMAN ~ 2019

Wilf Scheuerman of Medicine Hat passed away on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2019. Born in Duchess, AB on July 9th, 1928 he was one of 4 children to Edward and Elizabeth Scheuerman. He was predeceased by his beautiful wife, Margaret on April 24th, 2015. They had celebrated 65 years of marriage. Wilf and Margaret started their life together in Duchess and moved to Medicine Hat with 3 young daughters which was an important decision at Wilf’s age of 23. He was a proud, hard-working and self-motivated father of 7 children, 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. As a respected business owner of Southern Car and Trailer Sales, Cozy Home Furnishings and lastly Holiday RV Super Centre, he had won many awards for his accomplishments. He went through some difficult times but worked diligently and continued to persevere always coming out on top. He will be sadly missed by his seven children, Tyrril (Don) Tonks of Salmon Arm, Peggy (Dale) Reimer of Calgary, Jan (Terry) Seitz, Mark (Jenine), Pam (Dale) Fandrick, Stewart (Jasmina), Kurt (Tannis, who passed away September 8th, 2016) of Calgary; grandchildren, Dillon (Renee) Tonks, Erin (Jeff) Wiseman, Brianne (Scott) Hamilton, Whitney (Doug) King, Jonathan (Kathleen) Seitz, Sean (Angela) Seitz, Cole (Michelle) Scheuerman, Scott (Jenny) Scheuerman, Keri (Chad) Schiebelbein, Tyson (Jill) Fandrick, Clayton (Natalea) Fandrick, Mitchell (Shannon) Scheuerman, Savannah (Kyle) Scheuerman, Lucas Scheuerman and Niklas Scheuerman. Dad loved singing with his family and listening to music. Together with Mom they enjoyed their Sunday drives, checking out the crops and stopping along the way to do some fishing. They were also fortunate to be able to travel extensively, visiting such places as Europe, Japan, South Korea and Hawaii. Our memories of Dad will live on in all of our hearts. May he find peace in his eternal life. There will be a private family internment with Reverend Shane Hein of St. Peter Lutheran Church officiating. OLIVER FLAIG-ALLISON

2009 ~ 2019
Our precious angel, Oliver George Flaig-Allison passed away on Monday, April 22, 2019, at the age of 9 years old. He leaves to cherish his memory his dad, Stephen Allison; mom, Dana Flaig and step-dad, Shawn Ross; brother, Samuel and sister, Amelia as well as grandparents, Sue MacInnis and Larry Mattson, George Allison and Joan MacDonald, Calvin and Darlene Flaig, Robert and Debra Ross as well as with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Oliver was born on August 13, 2009. He was our special angel and his smile and contagious laugh spread to everyone who met him. There was nothing like the pure joy of Oliver’s laugh. He has been a light and brought so much joy with his gentle happy soul. Though we would give anything to hold him again, we know he is running and laughing in heaven with Jesus. A Celebration of Oliver’s life will be held at Hillcrest Evangelical Missionary Church, 3785 – 13 Avenue S.E., Medicine Hat, on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Steve Pahl officiating with a luncheon to follow immediately thereafter.
