1937 ~ ANNA MARIE MASKELL ~ 2019
Mrs. Anna Marie Maskell of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Edward Maskell, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Tuesday, March 5th, 2019 at the age of 81 years. Anna Marie leaves to cherish her memory her sisters, Lena Sears and Irene (Tim) Hammel; Sisters-in-law, Melody Maskell and Lena Gutfriend; special friend, Gerri Packard; and numerous nephews and nieces. Anna Marie was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Marianne Gutfriend; brothers, Albin, Val (Jackie), and Tom; sister, Jenny Schnell (Jack); and mother-in-law, Elinor Maskell. Anna Marie was born in Leader, SK and raised in Fox Valley, AB. She moved to Medicine Hat where she began working at Dominion Glass in Redcliff and where she met her husband of 40 years, Ted Maskell. Gardening flowers was Anna Marie’s love of her life. Although not having children of her own, she loved her niece and nephews as her children and their children as her grandchildren. Anna Marie was the sweetest lady and loved by all. Marica Kolosetti passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at the age of 83 years. Marica’s memory will be cherished by her four children: Jasna Kolosetti, Blanka (Richard) Kastning, Mirijana (Craig) Wallace and Tony Kolosetti. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren: Tiani and Tylar Kolosetti, Ryan (Nicoal) Kastning, Jordan and Jadeyn Kastning, Bryce and Eric Wallace, Mindy and Matthew Kolosetti; two precious great-grandchildren, River and Sawyer Kastning; four sisters, Rezika, Katica, Jelka, Ankica (aka Annie); brother, Ilija Josipovic as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews living abroad. Marica was predeceased by her husband, Tedor; parents, Doroteja (Teja) and Ilija (Ivan) Josipovic; brother, Juka (aka George); sister, Milka; brothers-in-law, Stefan Zadra, Robert Pillot; sister-in-law, Katica Josipovic and in-laws Rikardo and Ana Kolozetti. Marica was very family oriented whose greatest love and joy were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends whether it was playing cards or just visiting. Marica loved her garden and flower beds; her yard was certainly evident of that! She also loved her weekly dances until she was unable. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so starting one hour prior to Vigil Prayers and one hour prior to the Funeral Mass. Vigil Prayers will be recited at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on March 17, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, 238 – 2 Avenue N.E., Medicine Hat on March 18, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Tomy Manjaly celebrant. Olive Gertrude McBride, beloved wife of the late Frank McBride and loving spouse of Terry Bearss, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at the age of 93 years. She also leaves to cherish her memory her three children Arlene (Jim) Ross, Patricia (Raymond) Chouinard and Tara (Barron) Paul; fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter; Franks children Russ (Joyce) McBride, Ron (Diane) McBride, Helen (Billy) Christiansen, Randy (Patsy) McBride and their families; one brother John Hind; two sisters, Ruth Bennett and Joan (Del) Josephson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Mabel Ellis and Vincent Hind; Frank McBride in 2001; daughter Sheila Bearss in 1956; her brother and sister-in-law Bob and Darlene Hind; sister-in-law Eileen Hind and brother-in-law Ab Bennett. Olive was raised on the farm near Gladmar, Saskatchewan. She moved to Regina and began working at Simpsons shipping and receiving. After marrying Terry she helped with running their Motels while caring for her children. In 1967, she moved to Medicine Hat with Frank and started McBride's Bakery. After retiring in 1978, she spent time playing golf, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren who were the lights in her life. She loved to dance, knit and take trips but mostly spend time with her family. She was a caring loving person who always put her family first. Even though her memory was failing her in her later years she always maintained her caring personality and great sense of humor. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.
