1946 ~ CAROL HERTER ~ 2018

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Marlene Herter, beloved wife of Clarence Herter, on Saturday, July 28th, 2018 at the age of 72 years. Carol's life began in 1946 on a farm south of Seven Persons. As a young child, Carol moved into Medicine Hat where she was raised and educated. On completion of her high schooling she began employment with the Alberta Treasury Branch for 34 years in Medicine Hat. In 1966 Carol married Clarence and again moved back to the farm life where she enjoyed raising cattle, driving tractor and hauling grain. Carol continued the farming life in the Seven Persons and later in Manyberries areas while still employed at the Treasury Branch. During the last 20 years, Carol and her husband of 52 years spent the winters vacationing across the southern United States, Mexico and South America. Mexico was her favorite destination. Carol is survived by her husband, Clarence; one sister, Elaine Romeike; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Otto and Carrie Romeike; one brother, Donald Romeike; and one sister, Margaret Neufeldt. The Funeral Service will be held at ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 515 Sprague Way SE, on Saturday, August 4th, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Ken Edel officiating. ALBERT PUDWELL

1942 ~ 2018

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Albert Gerald Pudwell, announce his passing at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Monday, July 30, 2018, at the age of 75 years. Albert was born on October 31, 1942, near Hilda where he went to school and was raised. The family moved to Calgary in 1958 where Albert married the mother of his five children, Evelyn in 1960. He worked at a meat packing plant before changing careers and becoming an insulator until retiring in 2010. Albert was happy to move back to Medicine Hat where he met Gail McLaren, a lady he dearly cherished. Their time together was short but precious. His children and grandchildren were his world and he will be sadly missed by all. Albert’s memory will be treasured in the hearts of his fiancé, Gail; children, Debbie (Wayne) Fequet, Karen (Paul) Leach, Danny Pudwell, Dineen Pudwell, Craig (Justina) Pudwell; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and his brother, Wilfred (Kathy) Pudwell. He was predeceased by his mother, Eva Pudwell (1990); father, Jack Pudwell (2005); sister, Darlene Pledge (1978); grandson, Taylor Pudwell (1994); and daughter-in-law, Delores Blake (2018). A Celebration of Albert’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, Alberta, on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. with Diaconal Minister Lila de Waal officiating. BOWMAN

Marjory Bowman of Medicine Hat passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018, at the age of 78 years. She leaves to cherish her memory, her brother, Gerald (Debbie) Bowman and her good friend, Carol Field, both of Medicine Hat. She was predeceased by her mother, Erna Bowman. Marjory was born on January 7, 1940 in Medicine Hat. She attended George P. Vanier School and later on worked at Redi Enterprises. Marjory was very involved with her church, and she loved singing and music. She resided in South Country Village for over 30 years. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the Wuerfel Auditorium on Friday from 1:00 to 1:55 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Wuerfel Auditorium, South Country Village (1720 Bell Street SW) on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. LAMBERT, MARCEL

February 1, 1928 – July 29, 2018
Marcel Lambert passed away with family by his side on July 29th, 2018 at the age of 90. He was born on February 1, 1928 in Beaumont Alberta to Alma and Norman Lambert and had a brother Edward and a sister Elsie. Marcel was predeceased by his father, mother, brother, sister, his sons Dennis (Wendy) and Brian (Pam), and the love of his life Elsie. He is survived by his children Norman (Charlotte), Bernice, Dwayne, Dean and step children Vickie (Phil) and Lana (Randy). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Over the years Marcel loved helping people, spending time with his grandchildren, trucking, taking care of his horses and dogs, cracking jokes, and putting extra salt and butter on everything he ate. His laughter and cowboy hat will surely be missed by those who knew him. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 3rd, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Lyle Reeves Funerals in High River (115 – 8th Avenue SE).
