Mae “Betty” Hart (nee Lewis) beloved wife of the late Edward Hart, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018, at the age of 90 years resting peacefully at the Carmel Hospice (St. Joseph’s Home) in Medicine Hat. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Wayne (Marlene) Hart, Garry (Wendy) Hart and Trudy (Gord Moore) Kurtz; her daughter-in-law,        Rebecca Riches; her grandchildren, Leanne Hart, (children: Chance, Jett, Jax and London); Melissa (Kyn) Jim,             (children: Ty, Cruz, Sola and Mateo);      Ryan (Meaghan) Hart, (children: Rylee, Emree and Preslee); Carrie (Brandon) Sweezey, (children: Whelan, Theo and Aiden); and their mother Val Hart; Justin French; Trina (Sascha Trapp) French, (daughter: Keegan); Kristie (Brent) Fisher, (children: Owen and Olivia); Kara (Kurtis) Deering, (children: Easton, Kaige and Kallie); Kevin (Steph) Kurtz, (children: Emerson, Bennett and Isabelle); and their father, Ken Kurtz; Carli (Mike) Rodger, (children: Siri, Maven and Boden);       Mackenzie Hart; and their mother Cyndie Britton; Mason Hart, Matthew Moore, Mitchell (Terri) Moore, (children: Madi and Lexi); her brother, Mitchell Cruickshank; her sisters-in-law, Olive Hart and Erna Hart. She was predeceased by her         parents, Chester and Audrey Lewis and her step-father Angus Cruickshank; her husband, Edward Hart on July 27, 2004; her son, Ken Hart on December 1, 2007; her brothers Bob Cruickshank and Glen Cruickshank; and her brothers-in-law, Bill Hart and Garvin Hart. Betty was born on May 12, 1928 and was raised in the Spruce View area. Betty met Ed Hart at Olds College in 1946 and they were      married on March 30, 1948 in High River, Alberta. They moved to Vauxhall and farmed there until 1975 when they retired to Lethbridge. Bettyspent the last nine years at the River Ridge Care Centre in Medicine Hat to be closer to her family. She loved gardening, quilting, knitting, sewing, curling and bowling and she played bridge every week. Her biggest passion was cooking and baking. Betty was always very supportive and              encouraging to her children. She loved her grandchildren and great                     grandchildren; they brought a lot of joy to her life. She will be dearly missed by all. Betty’s family would like to thank the staff at Carmel Hospice for the wonderful care of their mother during her stay. Family and friends who wish to pay their             respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The       funeral service will be held in the Grand Ballroom at the Coast Lethbridge Hotel and Conference Centre, 526 Mayor Magrath Dr S, Lethbridge, Alberta on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, Dave Townsend.
