1958 ~ GARTH PRICE ~ 2018

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Garth Price, beloved husband of Cheryl Price, on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the age of 59 years. Garth also leaves to cherish his memory step-son, Calvin (Andrea) Martin; three granddaughters, Jade, Alivia, and Charlotte; mother-in-law, Fran Coffey; two brothers, Ray (Joan) Price and Rick Price (Jan Kline); brothers-in-law, Daryl Knowler and Peter Coffey; step sister-in-law, Jan (Dan) Holmedal; step brothers-in-law, Tom Coffey and Russ (Kelly) Coffey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Garth was predeceased by his parents, Al and Evelyn Price; sister, Donna-Ray Knowler; and fathers-in-law, Sonny Martin and Frank Coffey. Garth was born on November 27, 1958 in Medicine Hat and lived his entire life here. He grew up with a love for the outdoors…fishing with his family and friends was one of his favourite things to do. He was employed with CP Rail for 37 years before retiring five years ago. Garth had a great way of telling a story and would have everyone laughing by the end of his tale. He loved spending time with his family and especially loved spending time with his granddaughters. Garth always had to make sure everyone around him was taken care of before looking after himself; even till the end he was concerned that we would be ok. The Graveside Service will be held at HILLSIDE CEMETERY, 10th Avenue and Gershaw Drive SW, on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Gary W. Goran officiating. Donna Lee Peterson O'Bear

Born Aug 6 1970 in Magrath Alberta and passed away much too soon April 10 2018 in Calgary Alberta at the age of 47. She is predeceased by 2 brothers and her parents , Floyd and Merna Peterson. She is survived by her husband Kelly O' Bear and their 2 children, Courtney and Cameron who reside in Medicine Hat, and her sisters Sharon Boehme and Judy Redelback and numerous friends and cousins, aunts and uncles. Donna grew up on a farm 3.5 miles north of Brooks Alberta and upon graduation moved to Medicine Hat where she lived until November 2017. Donna loved things of beauty and loved nature and animals. She especially loved her birds. She created beautiful works of art with her hands. A talented artisan, she made beautiful afghans and doilies and pettipoint and cross stitch pieces Donna was extremely generous and gave much of her work away. She will be deeply missed by all her friends and family. We love her dearly.
A memorial for Donna will be held Saturday May 19 2018 in Medicine Hat at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, stake centre 1864 Division Ave at 11 am. All friends and family are invited to attend.

1945 ~ 2018
Ellen Mary Coulter, passed away peacefully at Masterpiece Southland Meadows in Medicine Hat on Saturday May 12, 2018, at the age of 73 years. Memories of Ellen will be cherished by her loving daughter, Stephanie (Wayne); very special and only granddaughter, Keerstyne and her beloved pet and companion, Ottis. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas George Coulter and her son, Steven Douglas Coulter. In memory of Ellen, do a kind deed for others and always smile. Jeffrey Guy Hirsch passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018, at the age of 45 years, husband of Patricia Seiller of Carbon, Alberta. He also leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Charles and Michelle Hirsch of Medicine Hat; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Seiller (Andrew); brothers-in-law, Tony (Susan) Seiller, and Doug Seiller (Dolores Schilling); and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Stacey Hirsch in 1981 and all his grandparents. JOHN WAGENAAR

1948 ~ 2018
While surrounded by his loving family, Mr. John Wagenaar, beloved husband of Florence, was peacefully called home to his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at the age of 69 years. Along with Florence, John leaves to cherish his memory: daughter’s, Carla Wagenaar (Jim Stabler) and Sandra Prince; grandchildren, Jayda and Raeden and their father, Mike Prince; brothers, Fred (Marilyn), Rudy (Mary-Lou) and Luke (Karen); sister, Jane (Nick) all of Ontario as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. John was predeceased by his parents, Jan and Patricia Wagenaar and grandson, Ty Prince. John was always meticulous at his work; ensuring that all projects were completed perfectly. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, golfing and tending his garden – which was always kept in immaculate condition. John was a loving husband, dad and papa whose love of life and family will be missed! Marilyn Ross

October 1, 1956 – May 9, 2018
Marilyn Patricia Ross of Battleford, Sask, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wed., May 9, 2018 at the age of 61 after a courageous battle with cancer. Marilyn was born in Empress, AB and raised in the Atlee-Jenner area. Marilyn was a very generous and compassionate person, always thinking of others before herself. She loved music, the Christmas season, and having company who always enjoyed her delicious meals. She was a talented artist, who carried on her heritage by painting Norwegian Rosemaling but most of all she loved animals and gardening. Her yard was immaculate with many, many flowers blooming everywhere, which attracted a variety of birds that she fed in her feeders faithfully. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Marcie Ross; her partner Tim Wilson; sister Marj (Gerald) Kornelson; her niece Wanda (David) Lemare and Gage; nephew Wes (Tracey) Kornelson and Kolton and Kurtis; niece Sue (Gord) Wudrich and Taylor; nephew Tim (Tannis) Piotrowski and Barrett; uncle and aunt Ben and Mavis Stegen; cousins Carol Callaghan and family; Grant (Leanne) Stegen and family; cousins Lloyd (Linda) Fowlie and family; and Lynn (Betty Lou) Fowlie and family. Marilyn was predeceased by her parents Leonard and Alice Stegen, aunt and uncle Helen and Frank Fowlie, uncles Harry and Norman Stegen, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mary Jane and Leonard Piotrowski. RONALD MAYER

Ronald Mayer passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on May 9, 2018 in the company of family. He was 71 years old. Ron was born on September 19, 1946 in Herbert, Saskatchewan. He was predeceased by his parents Evelyn Hansen and Harvey Mayer. He is survived by his daughter Jessica (Dustin Kress) Perry; two grandchildren Samantha and Parker Kress of Ponoka, Alberta; his sister Arlene Cathcart; nephew Roger Metz; and nieces Melody Metz and Dawn Peppard. Ron’s last two years were spent living in Ponoka, Alberta. He loved being close to his daughter and grandchildren. His younger years were spent behind the lens of a camera, a set of drums, or holding a fishing rod. The open prairie is where he always wanted to be. He spent many years working as a sheet metal mechanic and later developed a passion of architecture. His photography progressed to digital art, and he was never far from his computer, even during his last days. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at a later date. SHIRLEY ANNE ZIEBART

April 22, 1935 ~ May 11, 2018

It is with heavy hearts the family of Shirley Anne (Shanne) Ziebart, announce her passing on Friday, May 11, 2018, at the age of 83 years. Shirley Anne was born in Medicine Hat on April 22, 1935, a daughter to Stanley and Kathleen Knight. She attended Connaught School and graduated from Alexandra High School. She married Pius ‘Zeke’ Ziebart and their marriage was blessed with the births of six children. Once the kids were in school she started working in the bank where she would spend the next 25 years. Throughout her years she enjoyed travelling and golf (2 holes in 1), reading and spending time with her grandchildren. Shirley Anne was an avid Tiger’s fan and rarely missed a game. Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of her children, Janet (James) Zeller, Kate Ziebart, Donna (Richard) Dworschak and Beth (Robert) Leentvaar; and grandchildren: Alicia Ziebart (Christof) and Jeremy Ziebart (Terilyn); Nick (De Andra) Zeller and their daughter, Austyn, Mitch (Blythe) Zeller and Erin Zeller (Mark); Kris Dworschak (Erin), Craig Dworschak (Emily); Derek Leentvaar (Celeste) and Emily Leentvaar, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Zeke in 2009, son, Stanley in 2012, infant daughter, Linda Marie and her parents.
