Murray Titterton of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of the late Birdene Titterton, passed away on Saturday, April 14th, 2018 at the age of 88 years. Murray leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Richard (Pat), and Dale (Linda); seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Irene Husband. Murray was also predeceased by his parents, Bert and Rose Titterton. A private family time of remembrance will be held at a later date. BABIJ

Michal Babij passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at the age of 86 years, beloved husband of Olga Babij of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory three children, Les Babij, Joanne (Don) Gries and Karen (Daryl) Dodd; his grandchildren Adrian, Roxanne (Justin), Marshall, Carlie (Austin), Kyle, Kaylin, Deandra and Kendra; three great grandchildren, two brothers, Peter (Sharon) Babiy and Gene (Barb) Barrie. Michal was born on November 21, 1931, in Mayfair, Saskatchewan where he was raised. In 1954, he joined the Canadian Airforce serving in many different locations; retiring as Chief Warrant Officer in 1981. On June 16, 1956, he married Olga Bogdanski in Hafford, Saskatchewan. When they made their move to Medicine Hat, he worked for the City as a supervisor at the Water/Sewage Treatment Plant, retiring in 1997. Michal was involved with First Assembly Church in a variety of roles as well as the Businessmen’s Fellowship Ministries. The funeral service will be held in the First Assembly of God Church (395 9th Street SE) on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Lyle Berg officiating. A private interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery. Lena passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018, at the age of 90 years, beloved wife of the late Emil Bengert. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Sylvia (and family), Tom, Donna (Gord and family), Mike (Dawn and family); one sister Scholastica Hammel. She was predeceased by her mother Magdalena, her father Ludwig, her stepfather Peter Schile and six siblings. MOLLY KEITH

1921 ~ 2018
Mary “Molly” Dick Keith, beloved wife of the late Willard ‘Bill’ Keith, passed away peacefully at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at the age of 97 years. Leaving to cherish her memory are her children, daughter, Bonnie (Adolf) Leis; sons, Douglas (Mavis), Robert (Jeannie), Blair (Dee Ann); 10  grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Margaret Blair; brother, Robert and sisters, Margaret and Jean; daughter, Heather; and grandson, James Olson. Molly was born on February 15, 1921, in Winnipeg, MB., and spent most of her life in Medicine Hat. She was keenly interested in the world of sports and was actively involved in curling, golf and bowling. A highlight in sports was when Molly was a member of the Provincial Senior Ladies Championship curling team which represented Alberta for the Canadian Championship in Halifax in March, 1974. When her husband retired in 1979, she spent many winters with him in Victoria, B.C., where she made many friends at the curling rink and during various social occasions and playing bridge. As part of her activity in the community, Molly was a member of the Westminster United Church choir as well as the Veiner Centre choir. She will be greatly missed by all members of her family with whom she enjoyed many anniversary celebrations. The Funeral service celebrating Molly’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, on Monday, April 16, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., with Reverend Helen Reid officiating.
