1941 ~ JACQUELINE “JACKIE” SCHULER ~ 2018

Jacqueline Rheta “Jackie” Schuler, beloved wife of Ted Schuler of Medicine Hat, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the age of 77 years. Jackie also leaves to cherish her memory her children, Scott (Bernetta), Tracey (Douglas) Skurdal, Jeffrey, and Cameron; five grandchildren, Matthew (Jenna) Schuler, Kyle and Ryan Schuler, and Alyshia and Andrew Skurdal; two brothers, Brian (Joanne) Gross and Keith (Connie) Gross; sister-in-law, Audrey Gross; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jackie was predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Margaret Gross; and two brothers, Edward Gross and Ted (Marg) Gross. Jackie was born in Lethbridge on March 29, 1941 and was raised on the farm in Grassy Lake. She attended school in Grassy Lake and went to Calgary to become a nurse’s aide. On July 13, 1963, Jackie married Ted in Medicine Hat. They lived in Schuler where Jackie helped Ted run Mac’s Cash Store for 35 years. They retired to Medicine Hat in 1999. Vigil Rites (prayers) will be said at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 1451 Strachan Road SE, on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Philip Le, Celebrant. BARBARA MARSHALL

November 14, 1921—April 4, 2018
Barbara was born on November 14, 1921 in Fox Valley, Saskatchewan to parents Rochus and Theresia Denis and passed away on April 4, 2018 in Oyen, Alberta.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband Frank (1982); son Blaine (2008); grandson Jamey Marshall (2006); brothers Tony, Lawrence, George and Mike; and sisters Frances and Mary.
She is lovingly and forever remembered by her children, daughter Vivian (Ron) Nord of Spruce View, Alberta; sons James (Eva) of Calgary, Ray (Shirley) of Medicine Hat, and Eric of Lethbridge; grandchildren Ryan Marshall, Jenny Marshall, Michelle Dempster, Cary Nord, Karen Blewett, Tammy Still, Jackie Brett, David Marshall, Becky McGrath, Julianna Gottli and Jesse Marshall; twenty-two great-grandchildren and two step- great-grandchildren; youngest brother Leo Denis; sisters-in-law Katherine (John) Marshall and Rose (Lawrence) Dennis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial tributes may be directed to St. Mary's Sacred Heart Parish, Box 629, Oyen, Alberta, T0J 2J0; Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories, 308, 14925 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta, T5M 2P6; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
A prayer vigil service will be held Tuesday, April, 10 at 7:30 p.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, April 11 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Acadia Valley, Alberta with Rev. Newton Rodrigues officiating. Following the interment at St. Peter and St. Paul Cemetery, family and friends are invited to a luncheon hosted by the Acadia Valley Community in the Community Hall.
