Mr. Kerry Victor Oliver passed away in Medicine Hat on Sunday, April 1, 2018, at the age of 81 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his three daughters, Wendy Schultenkamper, Carrie Ehnisz and her son Joshua as well as Brenda Oliver and her son Luke Bohnet. MURIEL JEANETTE DESROCHERS
June 19, 1937 – April 3, 2018
Mrs. Muriel Desrochers passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at the age of 80 years. Muriel leaves to cherish her memory: sons, Randall (Wanita) Desrochers and Terry Desrochers; daughter, Shelly (Ray) Scherger; grandchildren, Dion (Candice) and their children Gianna and Maxime; Devin, Desiree (Matt) and their daughter Rome; Juston (Mia), Brianne (Aaron), Jaycene and Janessa. She was predeceased by her husband, Leopold Desrochers in 1999. Muriel married the love of her life, Leo, on July 21, 1956, in Edmonton. They moved to Medicine Hat in 1959, where they made their home. She was employed at the post office, Black’s Hardware Store and at Dr. Dan McCharles Auxilary Hospital for 24 years where she worked as a nursing aide. Her co-workers and patients at the hospital found her to be caring and compassionate with an infectious laugh that would identify her in any crowd. Leo and Muriel had a wide circle of friends and family and enjoyed entertaining, dancing, music, sports, golf and camping. In honour of Muriel’s wishes, a Private Graveside Service will be held at Hillside Cemetery. (Condolences may be expressed by visiting our website at

Bonnie Weiss passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018, beloved wife of Bruce Weiss of Medicine Hat. She also leaves to cherish her memory two children, Berri-Sue Weiss (Jon Bolton) and Brandi (Curtis) Benedict; six grandchildren, Cyanna, Ella, Luna, Jocelyn, Jada and William, and a multitude of friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Alice Becker and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elmer and Evelyne Weiss.
