Mrs. Bregitta Grimm, beloved wife of the late Anton “Tony” Grimm, passed away restfully on Thursday, March 8th, 2018 at the age of 99 years. Bregitta leaves her children: Ted, Gladys, Don, Gary and Glen to cherish the fond individual and collective memories they have of their mother’s lengthy and amazing life. 1947 ~ WAYNE MEIER ~ 2018

Wayne John Meier, beloved husband of Mary Meier of Bow Island, passed away on Thursday, March 8th, 2018 at the age of 70 years. Wayne also leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Peggy Mendryk (Dale Carneige); seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Barry (Delores) and Dale (Yvonne); one sister, Marion Wasilow; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Wayne was predeceased by his son, Brent Meier; his parents, Jack and Helen Meier; and one brother-in-law, Don Wasilow. Wayne was born in Medicine Hat on September 9th, 1947 and was raised and educated in Saskatchewan. He was an employee with Ogilvie Mills for numerous years. Elizabeth Agnes Gross of Pincher Creek, formerly of Medicine Hat, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at the age of 97 years, beloved wife of the late Tony Gross. She leaves to cherish her memory her grandchildren, Clint (Tammy) Mayer and their combined family Regan (Tanisa) (and their children Knight and Vela), Greg, Tony, Clinton Jr.; Cheryl (Robert) Schafer and their combined family Brandon Mutschler (Whitney Kerner), Brodie Mutschler (Maria Johnson), Kenneth and Shelbey; and Chris LeClaire as well as her grandchildren-in-law, Shelly Mayer-Brost (Randy) and their daughter Flower, and Darren Mutschler (Michelle). She was predeceased by her parents, Ferdinand and Katherine Schmidtz; her husband Tony Gross; her only daughter Janet LeClaire and her husband Raymond and by one grandson Raymond LeClaire; her brothers, Ferdinand “Ferd”, Joseph, Leonard, Adolphe, Peter and Bernard “Ben”. Elizabeth was born on August 4, 1920 in Humbolt, Saskatchewan and was raised in Lake Lenore, Saskatchewan. In 1939, she married Tony Gross, and in 1952 they moved to Dysart, Saskatchewan. In 1972, they moved to Medicine Hat and she was employed at Hat Hardware until it closed. At the age of 90 years, Elizabeth moved to St. Joseph’s Home and at the age of 91 years she moved to Raymond and then in 2013 her final move was to Pincher Creek. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and at the church from 12 noon to 12:55 p.m. Family and friends will gather for prayers in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m . The funeral mass will be celebrated in Holy Family Parish (1451 Strachan Road SE) on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Philip Le celebrant. Interment will take place at a later date in Hillside Cemetery. Christa Richardson of Calgary, passed away surrounded by family, on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the age of 39 years after a courageous battle with oesophageal cancer.
Born July 17, 1978 in Calgary, Christa came into the world a very premature little fighter and carried that quality throughout her life. She had a love of life with her quirky humor, optimism and fun loving ways. Always surrounded by friends and family, she added light and joy wherever she went. She will be greatly missed by all who had the fortune of knowing her.
Christa is survived by her mother Eugenia (Jean) Richardson; brother Trevor (Lynnae); sister Laura; her nieces and nephew, Arianna and Julia Korbett, Jenna and Eric Richardson; and Molly, her dog.
Christa was predeceased by her father, Allan Richardson.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home. Condolences may be forwarded through http://www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
