DARRYL WILLIAM CECIL FRENCH
AUGUST 4, 1966 ~ JANUARY 28, 2018
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Darryl French of Medicine Hat on Sunday, January 28th, at the age of 51 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his best friend, Donna Cullins of 30 years; step-sons, Jacy (Megan), Jady; step-daughter, Sherry (Hugh); grandchildren, Michelle, Jullian, Ashlee, Esmae, Jayden. He also leaves to mourn, his parents, Alvin and Joyce French of Redcliff; four sisters, Judy (Brian), Fay (Paul), Lorraine, Debbie (Marshall); as well as many nieces and nephews. Darryl will also be sadly missed by Dean and Greg. Darryl was born in Halifax, N.S. due to being raised in a military family, he had the opportunity to travel across Canada. Once dad retired they lived in Simpson, SK for 6 years and moved to Medicine Hat where he resided until the present. Darryl worked at Redcliff IXL Brick Plant and Lakeside meat plant. His favorite passions was fishing and the love of his pets. The Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Redcliff Royal Canadian Legion, 302 Broadway Avenue East, Redcliff on Saturday, February 10th, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations in Darryl’s name may be made to the S.P.C.A., S.P.C.A., 55 Southview Drive SW, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 8E8. Lawrence Gustave Pfeifer passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at the age of 89 years, beloved husband of Jean Pfeifer of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory three children, Murray (Sheila) Pfeifer, Wanda Schacher, Harold (Lorie) Pfeifer; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren: Carrie and Jeff (Oscar, Jack and Milo), Brent and Kolbi (Wesley, Shea and Abigail), Kelly and Steph (Tatum and Paxton), Tamara and Justin (Payton), Alison, Justine and Jeff; one sister Jean Pfeifer of Calgary and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Gustave and Mary Pfeifer, his father and mother-in-law, Jacob and Katherine Schlenker; one son-in-law Cleon Schacher; brother and sister-in-law Elmer and Gladys Schlenker. Thank you to the Riverview Care Centre for the excellent care of Lawrence. The funeral service will be held in Westminster United Church (101 6th Street SE) on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Jan Stevenson officiating. RICHARDSON, James (Jim)
It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Jim Richardson of London, Ontario, formerly of Medicine Hat, on January 30, 2018 at age 85. Beloved husband for over 63 years and best friend of Lil Richardson (nee Knodel). Loving father of Sharon Cesanek and husband Bob of Port Stanley, Ontario, and Sandra Ranton and husband Doug of Waterloo, Ontario. Proud Grandad of Kate (Giles) Royster of San Jose, California, Kristen (Nathan) Thompson of Belmont, Ontario, and Trevor Ranton of Waterloo, Ontario. Great-grandad to his little buddies Dakota, Max and Dawson Thompson and Baby Royster. Predeceased by his Grandson Jacob Ranton (2014). A private family service will be held at Harris Funeral Home, London, at a later date.
