1928 ~ JOHN “JACK” SLOAN ~ 2018

John Joseph “Jack” Sloan (also known as Grandpa Jack), beloved husband of Elsie Sloan, of Medicine Hat passed away on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2018 at the age of 90 years. Jack leaves behind his wife, Elsie; one daughter, Kathy Pilgaard; and one granddaughter, Jennifer Pilgaard (Doug Anderson). Jack was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Kathleen Sloan; one brother, Jim (Joan) Sloan; and one sister, Kathleen “Kay” (Jim) McCarty. Jack spent many years as a pastor with the Salvation Army and will be missed for his Irish subtle wit. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of 5West at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital for the wonderful care Jack received. The funeral service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Monday, January 29th, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. with Captain’s Ron and Joyce MacDonald officiating. Interment will take place at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery. 1947 ~ GLEN TELLMAN ~ 2018

Glen Albin Tellman beloved husband of Judy Robertson of Medicine Hat, passed away on Saturday, January 20th, 2018 at the age of 70 years. Besides his wife, Judy, Glen leaves to cherish his memory his eight children, Tracy Helmig (Fred) and their children, Joseph and Eden, Tara Tellman (Andrew) and their children, Shaneen and Shanan and Shanan’s son, Andrew, Trina Martin (Bruce) and their children, Austin, Colton and Alexis, Darren Tellman (Vicki) and their children, Kayli and Tysen, Dean Tellman (Crystle), Traelene DeGraaf (Lauren) and their children, Brianne and Kayla, Talayna Hartley (James) and their daughter, Kalyca, and Tenille Tellman (Mike); two step children, Tammy Taylor (Scott) and Tanya Carpenter (Dwayne) and their children, Samantha, Matthew, Renee and Bowen; and one brother, Dale Tellman (Laraine). Glen was predeceased by his parents, Albin Emanuel and Muriel Tellman. Glen enjoyed spending time with his family and relaxing while on his cruises. 1977 ~ KRISTY MUNSCH ~ 2018

Kristy Jolene Munsch, loving wife of Wade Munsch of Irvine, passed away on Monday, January 22nd, 2018 at the age of 40 years. Kristy also leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Austin, Levi, and Abby; two sisters, Evelyn (Randy) Ames and their children, Hannah and Jackson, and Chantel (Lane) Bascom and their son, Wiley; one brother-in-law, Scott (Michelle) Munsch and their children, Reece, Riley and Willow; her mother-in-law, Betty Munsch; her grandfather, Mel Jacobson; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Kristy was predeceased by her parents, Phillip and Linda Bellamy; her father-in-law, Ronald Munsch; and her grandparents. Kristy was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan on November 13th, 1977 and married Wade on September 27th, 2003 in Waterton, Alberta. Kristy was a real hockey mom with all three of their children. She loved the outdoors and camping with family and friends. She had a witty sense of humor and will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all. The Funeral Service will be held at HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 1451 Strachan Road SE, on Saturday, January 27th, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant Lynett Getz, officiating. Georgina (Jean) Blanchard, beloved wife of the late George Blanchard, passed away peacefully at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at the age of 95 years. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Sunday, January 28, 2018, between 6:00 p.m. and 6:55 p.m. with Vigil Prayers following at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also be offered at the church starting one hour prior to the Funeral Mass which will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, 238 – 2 Avenue N.E., Medicine Hat on Monday, January 29, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Father John L.
