It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the passing of their mother and grandmother, Elizabeth “Betty” Susan Ganzer, beloved wife of the late, Anthony Ralph Ganzer, at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Monday, December 4, 2017, at the age of 97 years. She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Marlene (Edward) Lavoy and daughter-in-law, Janet Ganzer; grandchildren, Sandra (Garth) Simpson, Maurice (Maggie) Lavoy, Maurae (Greg) Woitas, Genny Doyle, Kora Kuehn, Ty (Raegan) Ganzer, John (Paloma) Ganzer, Luke (Olivia) Ganzer; eleven greatgrandchildren, two great-greatgrandchildren; and her sister, Helen Hammer. Betty was predeceased by her parents, John and Susan Gergely Sr., and her son, Maurice “Butch” Ganzer. The family will honour Beth’s memory with a private celebration. Frances Mary Anne (Hutchison) Hart of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Donald M. Hart passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017, at the age of 85 years. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered by her daughters, Lynn (George) Myette, and Peggy (Larry) Schlenker; her grandchildren, Brad Schlenker, Jason Van Buskirk (Jami Osadczuk), Jennifer (Dale) Howe, Justin, Lori and Maggie Hart (Sergei Yurchik); great grandchildren, Clayton, Evyn, Kenzie, Ryder, Brekkyn, Ethan and Emma; her daughter-in-law, Liz Hart, her sisters, Jackie (Dan) Sodero, Bonnie Pahl-Schlinker, her brothers-in-law, Bob Hart, Dave Hart, Glen Loewen, and numerous extended family. She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Hilda Hutchison; her in-laws, Jack and Opal Hart, her husband of 63 years, Donald Hart, her son Don Hart Jr., her sister Jean McKenzie-Loewen, sisters-in-law Norma Hart, Shirley Hart and Rita Barnes, brothers-in-law Harris Pahl, Glen McKenzie, Bill Barnes and Marvin Schlinker and one grandson, Boyd Schlenker. We would like the thank the Caregiver’s at Masterpiece along with Jami Osadczuk and Jen Howe for their care and support. The funeral service will be held in the Glenview Church of the Nazarene (4072 Black and White Trail) on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Dennis Betker officiating.
