May 21, 1960 – June 23, 2017
Randy, beloved husband to Marie Ehret (nee Antoni) and loving father to Craig Raymond and Cassie Elizabeth, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017, at the age of 57 years, surrounded by his loving family. He also leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Agnes Ehret; his sisters, Deb (Doug) Wyatt, Cindy (Neil) Stock and Lisa (Brad) Betcker; brother-in-law, Raymond (Clara) Antoni; sister-in-law, Arlene Antoni as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by father, Raymond Ehret; mother and father-in-law, Pete and Betty Antoni and one brother-in-law, Michael Antoni. Randy was born and raised on the family farm in Hilda, Alberta. He attended Hilda School and continued his education in Medicine Hat. Randy’s passion was fixing cars. He achieved his Red Seal for Autobody Technician in 1983. He worked in various body shops until he found the job he loved at Stern Brother’s Autobody. He was a very valued employee for 21 years. Randy and his family loved to go camping and fishing, spending many hours on their boat. They really enjoyed many happy moments in their backyard with their neighbourhood friends. Randy was honest and hardworking, with a heart of gold. We will miss him with all of our hearts. Family and friends will gather for prayers in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated in Holy Family Parish (1451 Strachan Road SE) on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Albert Sayson celebrant. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, NWT & NU, 124, 430 6th Ave SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 2S8.
