BABITZKE
Susan Babitzke of Medicine Hat, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at the age of 92 years, beloved wife of the late Reinhold Babitzke. She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Grant (Karen) Babitzke and Tamara Bosch (Tony Scarpino); eight grandchildren, Aaron (Ally) Babitzke, Tanya (Mark) Fryklund, Cameron (Janessa) Babitzke, Devon (Justine) Bosch, Jenna (Kenton) Engel, Dallas Bosch, Angela (Dean) Taylor, Carey (Gordon) Lamoureox and their mother Carolyn Enns; six great grandchildren, Maddison, Nathan, Katyia, Connor, Kameron and Madden. She was predeceased by her parents, Isaac and Katharina Guenter; her first husband Henry Enns, July 13, 1957 and second husband Reinhold Babitzke on April 7, 2015; two sons, Donald (1966) and Robert (2014) as well as eleven brothers and sisters. Susan was born on April 22, 1924 on the farm near Hague, Saskatchewan and was raised in the McMahon, Saskatchewan area. She married Henry Enns (a solder) in the early 40's and they had two children. Henry passed away in 1957. In 1958, she married Reinhold Babitzke and two more children were born. They farmed in the Richmound area, retiring to Medicine Hat in 1979. Susan enjoyed sewing and her house keeping. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. DEVEAU, JOSEPH
– Mr. Joseph Deveau, a 34 year member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, Local 496, passed away December 16th, 2016. The Officers, Members & Staff extend their deepest sympathy.
BIGGS
Daniel "Dan" Elvin Biggs passed away peacefully on December 13, 2016 at the Jubilee Home in Lloydminster, SK at the age of 78 years. Dan will be fondly remembered by his daughter Terry (Allan) Hoffart, son Kelly (Vicki) Biggs, and daughter-in-law Wanetta Biggs. He will also be missed by his six grandchildren; Brady Hoffart, Dustin Hoffart, Danielle Biggs, Madison Biggs, Janessa (Tyler) Biggs, and Ryan Laubenstein; and one great grandchild, Logan Laubenstein, who he always referred to as "my little buddy"; his siblings, Bernice (Dave) Thompson, and Dale (Sharon) Biggs, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dan was predeceased by his youngest son Daniel "Danny" Jr. in 2005, and his parents, Mary and Philip Biggs.
Dan was born in Watson, SK and the majority of his younger years were spent in that area. As a young man he went to work at the Uranium Mines in Uranium City, SK. He then moved to Medicine Hat where he married and raised his family. He retired from Goodyear Canada in June of 1990 after working there for 30 years. After he retired, he kept busy with odd jobs and took pride in his milk cows and miniature horses. In 2009 he moved to the Lloyminster, AB area where he enjoyed gardening, raising chickens and fishing trips with his brother Dale (Ducky), and also spent time hunting and trapping.
Dan's wishes will be respected and there will not be a funeral service. He did, however, approve of a "gathering" of family and friends, which will be planned for at a later date in Medicine Hat, AB. At that time, an announcement will be published. If you wish, condolences may be left on website

FANDRICK
Terrance “Terry” Wayne Fandrick of Medicine Hat passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016, at the age of 67 years, beloved husband of Trudy Perry. He also leaves to cherish his memory one son and seven daughters and their spouses; twenty one grandchildren, one great grandson and a great grand daughter on the way, as well as one brother and three sisters and their families. He was predeceased by his parents, Vic and Marj Fandrick, his grandparents and one brother. Terry spent his early working years at Domglas in Redcliff, and then became very involved as an Agricultural Nutritionist in the agriculture business. He was also well known as a Karaoke enthusiast, eventually forming his own business known as P.E.A.R.L. Karaoke. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, please do something special with your family. It is with deep regret that the family of Joseph Aitchison of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of Linda, announce his passing on Friday, December 16, 2016, at the age of 60 years. Along with Linda, his loving wife of over 40 years, Joe leaves to cherish his memory two children: son, Robert Aitchison; daughter, Kim (Gary) Johnson; grandchildren, Tristin, Dominic and Erica. He is also survived by seven siblings and their families: Jim, Ian, Robert, Mark, William, Janice and Marie as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. It is with deep regret that the family of Thomas Gutfriend, beloved husband for 58 years of Anna “Lena” Gutfriend, announce his passing in Medicine Hat on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at the age of 86 years. Tom leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Blake (Carlene) and Brent (Susan); one daughter, Alison (Mark) Ellis; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Anna Marie Maskell, Lena Sears and Irene (Tim) Hammel and sister-in-law, Rosella Mastel.
