1933 ~ GOLDADE ~ 2016
Evelyn Magdalena Goldade (nee Fischer), beloved wife of Sebastian “Seb” Goldade of Medicine Hat, passed away on Thursday, August 11th, 2016 at the age of 83 years. Evelyn also leaves to cherish her memory her children, Larry (Debbie) Goldade, Linda (Wayne) Stodolka and Mark (Kathy) Goldade; seven grandchildren, Denice (Curtis), Jason (Crystal), Bryan, Troy (Maisie), Brent (Jeanette), Dawn (Sheldon) and Dustin (Cathy); thirteen great grandchildren, Skylar, Kyler, Nikki, Ryder, Rylan, Kaden, Brianne, Blake, Savannah, Kayla, Cole, Dominic and Dayton; one great great grandson, Hudson; one brother, Marvin (Janet) Fisher; two sisters, Bernice Stuber and Karen (Andy) Flaig; five sisters-in-law, Toni, Thelma, Margaret, Barb and Barb (Walter) Eresman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, Emanuel and Laura (Fregin) Fischer; two sisters, Gladys Goldade and Marlene Coslovich; one brother, Harry Fisher; her in-laws, Frank and Francis Goldade; four brothers-in-law, Phil, Michael, George and Simon; and one sister-in-law, Lucille McLea. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at the SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Tuesday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL on Wednesday, August 17th, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. with Gary W. Goran officiating. Interment will follow at Redcliff Cemetery. Joseph “Joey” Walter Doyle Shannon passed away at the Alfred Egan Home in Bow Island, Alberta on Thursday, August 4, 2016, at the age of 48 years. Joey was born in Innisfail, Alberta on July 8, 1968, where he lived until moving to Bow Island in 1997. Joey was a fighter and won many battles with poor health throughout his life. He had stamina and a zest for life. Joey had a winning smile which charmed the people he came in contact with, especially the staff at the Alfred Egan Home where he lived for the past 19 years. Joey enjoyed watching people and the outdoors. One of the highlights of his life was a trip to Three Valley Gap, B.C. in June 2010. He loved animals, especially cats. Joey also enjoyed playing on his tablet, listening to music and going to the library. Joey leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Hazel (Wayne) Ladouceur; father, Franklin Shannon; brother, Harold; sister-in-law, Roseanne and niece, Molly as well as his many friends at the Alfred Egan Home in Bow Island. Joey was predeceased by his grandparents, Roy and Elizabeth Potter and his uncle, Walter Hughes. Joey will be missed by all his friends, especially his Alfred Egan Home family. The Funeral Service will be celebrated at the Alfred Egan Home, 941 – 1 Street East, Bow Island, Alberta on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating Interment will take place at Innisfail Cemetery.
