1927 ~ NIEBERGALL ~ 2016

Logathe (Loggie) Niebergall passed away peacefully at St Joseph’s Carmel Hospice on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 89 years of age. She was predeceased by her husband, Arnold; her parents; and two of her 5 siblings. She is also survived by her 3 sons and their families, Ray & Bev, Cal & Bonnie, Stu & Patty; seven grandchildren, Chris, Tim (Polly), Jill (Mark), Mike (Deb), Amy (Tim), Alex, & Adam; and four great grandchildren, Claire, Matt, Ben & Logan. Mom had a sharp mind that lasted right up until her passing. As a result, she made a conscious decision that quality was more important than quantity, which her family whole heartedly supported. Mom enjoyed bridge and other card games, but Scrabble was her favorite. She was an extremely good at scrabble, and occasionally let her opponents falsely believe they might beat her, but they never could. Her faith was very strong and as a result was very active in various Church activities her whole life. A Private family graveside service will be held in September with Pastor Jeff Decelle officiating. 1927 ~ WAGNER ~ 2016

Matilda "Tillie" Wagner of Medicine Hat, passed away on Sunday, July 31st, 2016 at the age of 88 years. Tillie leaves to cherish her memory her son, Vern (Donna) Schneider of Medicine Hat; six grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Tillie was predeceased by her first husband, Albert Schneider; her second husband, Ron Wagner; her son, Gordon Schneider; six brothers; and one sister. The Funeral Service will be held at Victory Lutheran Church, 2793 Southview Drive SE, on Friday, August 26th, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. with Diaconal Minister Lila de Waal and Reverend Jim Bredeson co-officiating. ANDREW NELSON

1924 ~ 2016
Mr. Andrew John Nelson, husband of the late Edna Nelson, passed away peacefully at the Masterpiece River Ridge in Medicine Hat on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at the age of 91 years. Andrew was born in Hungary on November 15, 1924. He married Edna in Toronto in 1944 and resided in various communities throughout the western provinces. Andrew was a veteran who proudly served his country on 24 missions which included Burma and Germany. Andrew will be silently remembered by his family and friends. James Richard Fox, beloved special friend of Donna Lavallie (Ginger & Skippie), passed away on July 24, 2016 in Calgary, AB.
James leaves to cherish his memory his two sons Jason (Lorena) and Joel; his Mother, Carol; one sister Cathy (Rick); two brothers Ron (Shirley) and Brad (Jill); as well as dearly loved nieces and nephews. James was predeceased by his Dad, Harold.
A celebration of James's life will be held at the Bevridge Land Events from 1-4pm at #620-2nd St. SE, Medicine Hat, AB. in the basement, on August 6, 2016.


GARY FOLKERTS

1935 ~ 2016
It is with deep sadness that the family of Gary William Henry Folkerts, beloved husband of Joyce Minnie Ellen Folkerts, announce his passing at Masterpiece River Ridge in Medicine Hat on Monday August 1, 2016, at the age of 80 years. Gary was born in Beinfait, SK., and raised in Willmar, SK. He attended Teachers College in Moose Jaw, SK., and later attended the University of Saskatchewan in Regina to obtain his degree, finding his love for teaching and later as a School Principal. Gary married the love of his life, Joyce Harrison on September 27, 1958, and together raised their three daughters. He was fun loving and liked a good time with his family and friends. Hunting, fishing, travelling and the Saskatchewan Roughriders were some of Gary’s passions in life. He was on the Alberta Highway Traffic Control Board, Secretary of the ATA Administrators Council as well as the First Chairman of the Alberta Association of Police Commissions. Gary was later appointed as Chairman of the Medicine Hat Police Commission. He will be lovingly remembered in the hearts of his wife, Joyce; daughters, Tammy (Nolan) Herman, Shelley (Rick) Belau and Taralyn Manary; grandchildren, Ashley (Ryan) Schwab, Jacey Belau, Lindsey (James) O’Donnell; great-grandchildren, Seth Schwab and two expected great-grandchildren on August 9 and September 28 of this year respectfully; and a sister-in-law, Eleanor Harrison. Gary was predeceased by his parents Gerhard and Tillie Folkerts; sister, Dolores (Delmar) Hoogeveen; brother-in-law, Elgin Harrison and in-laws, Tom and Gladys Harrison. A private family celebration will take place at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel with Pastor Shane Hein officiating.
