ELIZARDO
Maria Anna Elizardo of Medicine Hat, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at the age of 88 years, beloved wife of the late Antonio Elizardo. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 9:30 – 10:25 a.m. Family and friends will gather for prayers in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church (238 2nd Ave N.E.) on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Tomy Manjaly celebrant. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. Harvey Gerald ‘Hammy’ Hamilton passed away at the St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat on Friday, June 17, 2016, at the age of 88 years. Along with his wife, Peggy, Gerald is survived by four children, Laurie (George Rayner) and George’s children; Don and Cindy Hamilton; Janet (Marty Drut) and John (Rita) as well as seven grandchildren, Chris (Megan), Erin and Daniel Schwab; Alan (Alan’s son Lukas) and Patrick Hamilton and Michael and Nicole Hamilton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and Peggy’s family. Private Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to a Come and Go Celebration of Gerald’s life to be held in the Canteen at the Royal Canadian Legion, 702 – 2 Street S.E., Medicine Hat on Saturday, June 25, 2016, between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Family wish to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. A. HANEWICH
Zelma Vera Hanewich of Medicine Hat passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016, at the age of 86 years, beloved wife of the late Elie Hanewich. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Neta Hanewich of Calgary and John Hanewich of Medicine Hat; six grandchildren, Adam and Joel Hanewich and Jeremy, Carissa, Kevin and Michelle Butz; two sisters-in-law, Doris McDougall and Ann McDougall as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Neta McDougall; her husband, Elie in 2011 and four brothers, Gerry, Raymond, Roy, and Les McDougall. Zelma was born on February 12, 1930 in Calgary and raised in the area. In 1956, she and her new husband Elie moved to Oyen where they farmed until 1983. They semi-retired to Medicine Hat but continued farming. Zelma enjoyed keeping her home, going to bingo, coffee with friends, cooking and sewing. She was a long time member of the C.W.L. and church choir in Oyen. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held in the Oyen Cemetery on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:15 p.m. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind #102, 520 2nd Street SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 0C6. Lilli Hirch (nee Ochsner), beloved wife of the late Otto Hirch, went to meet her savior and be reunited with loved ones on June 17, 2016. Rodrigo Orlando Lizama Gómez of Medicine Hat, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 19, 2016, at the age of 27 years, beloved son of the late Gloria de Lizama, his father Angel Lizama and his wife Claudia de Lizama. He also leaves to cherish his memory three sisters, Monica Lizama Gómez, Alejandra Lizama Gómez and Andrea Lizama Castaneda. Rodrigo was born on February 13, 1989. He was a great son, brother and friend. We will never forget his wonderful personality, his kindness and willingness to help others. We will miss his spontaneous smile and his fighting spirit. He was a hard working, intelligent man. We thank God for the opportunity to have known him and enjoy his company. He has moved on to a better place where we know he will be happy. Rodrigo, we love and remember you always… your father, stepmother, sisters, friends and family.
