1929 ~ RATCLIFF ~ 2015

Henry "Art" Arthur Ratcliff of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of the late Wilma Joyce Ratcliff, passed away on Sunday, December 6th, 2015 at the age of 86 years. Art leaves to cherish his memory his three children, Trevor of Whitehorse, Yukon, Allistair of Medicine Hat and Alwyn (Joe) Buckler of Lethbridge and their families. 1935 ~ WALTERS ~ 2015

Wilfred "Wish" Walters, beloved husband of June Walters of Medicine Hat, passed away on Saturday, December 5th, 2015 at the age of 80 years. Wish also leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Cindy (Ray) Buscholl and Alann (Garry) Klaudt; four grandchildren, Tanya (Jesse) Whitaker and son, Eric, Jenna Copper (Tylor) and sons, Zeth and Decklyn and soon to be born, Jaxon, Brenden Copper and Kurtis Copper; as well as numerous brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Wish was predeceased by his parents, George and Dorrena Walters. Wish was born on October 22nd, 1935 in Carleton Place, Ontario. He joined the C.A.F. as a young man and was posted in Calgary where he met and married June on August 31st, 1956. He was stationed with the Canadian Armed Forces and received his discharge in London, Ontario in 1965. Wish then worked as a Civil Servant to the Canadian Armed Forces at DRES until retiring in 1990. Wish was an avid golfer and enjoyed wood working. He volunteered many hours for the Poppy Campaign, the CNIB as a driver and helped stroke patients with rehabilitation. Wish enjoyed company with family and friends and his memory will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved him. DAL COLLO

Frank Dal Collo passed away on Monday, December 7, 2015 at the age of 80 years, beloved husband of Irene Dal Collo. He also leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Rod Dal Collo of Hinton, Alberta and Glenn (Jennifer) Dal Collo of Keedysville, Maryland and their children, Cade and Meaghan; his brother, Mario (Karen); his sisters, Elena (Guido) Rossi and Elsa (Francesco) Alloni; as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Vincenzo and Anna Maria Dal Collo; one brother and one sister. Family and friends will gather for prayers in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated in Holy Family Parish (1451 Strachan Road SE) on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. EDWARD HENRY KORNELSON

March 10, 1930 ~ December 6, 2015

Ed Kornelson, beloved husband of Doris, passed away peacefully at the Riverview Care Centre in Medicine Hat on Sunday, December 6, 2015, at the age of 85 years. Along with Doris, his loving wife of over 59 years, Ed’s memory will live on in the hearts of his three daughters, Janet (Pat) Janzer, Wendy (Tom) Beach and Patti (Todd) Penner of Kelowna; six grandchildren, Amy (Tyler) Deck, Matthew Janzer, Jade and Brett Beach, Ashton and Haleigh Penner as well as two great-grandchildren, Huxley and Rowen Deck. Ed is also survived by two brothers-in-law, Bob (Lorraine) Monkman and Jack (Audrey) Monkman as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Ronald, in 2006 as well as his parents, two sisters and three brothers. Ed was born on March 10, 1930, in Indian Head, Saskatchewan. A hard worker and a focused individual, one of his first jobs had him working in construction, building roads and dams. He then moved on to the oil field, working with Alberta Gas Trunk Line before starting his own business, Kornelson Inspection. In 1973, while still working in the oil field, Ed and Doris purchased a farm. It was a labour of love, and he continued to work and farm up until their move to Medicine Hat in 1996, retiring in 2000. During retirement, Ed made the most of each opportunity to golf, travel or just spend some time relaxing while gardening. He was a longtime member of the Shriners and a tireless advocate for the Shriners Hospital for Children. Every year, he looked forward to participating with the Shriners in the Medicine Hat Stampede Parade. His generous nature and kind heart will not soon be forgotten. A Celebration of Ed’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Thursday, December 10, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Shane Andrus and Rev. Jan Stevenson officiating. A time of fellowship will follow immediately thereafter in the Cook Southland Reception Facility.
