Barbara Schafer of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Alexander Schafer, passed away on Thursday, December 3rd, 2015 at the age of 96 years. Barbara leaves to cherish her memory her son and daughter-in-law, Wilfred Wayne and Trudy Schafer, and their family. The Funeral Service will be held at ST. DEERING

Ann Marie Deering passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2015, at the age of 76 years. She will be dearly missed by her husband Eugene Deering of Whitla; four children, Pam (Donald) Tyner of Marwayne, Alberta, Blaine (Sandra) Deering of Creston, B.C., Stewart Deering of Medicine Hat and Devona (Cam) Bjerkseth of Bow Island; six grandchildren, Colby Tyner, Alanna Tyner, Kevin Deering, Amanda Bjerkseth, Jade Bjerkseth and Amy Bjerkseth; one brother, Marvin (Delores) Sauer of Medicine Hat and one sister, Bev Shannon of Cranbrook, B.C. as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Rose and Paul Sauer. Ann was born on November 6, 1939 in Medicine Hat. She spent her early years growing up on the family farm and attending school at Winnifred and Bow Island. She had to quit school during grade 11 to help on the family farm and work due to the passing of her father. In 1959, she married the loved of her life, Eugene Deering. Ann and Eugene started their own family farm in the Whitla area. Ann was no stranger to hard work, she worked hard on the farm raising a family of four while at the same time raising chickens, milking cows, and growing a garden. Despite long days of hard work she always had time to share a pot of coffee with neighbors and friends. She was also very active with Women of Unifarm, the Whitla Community Association, and spent two terms on the board of directors for the Medicine Hat Co-op. Ann was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be dearly missed. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Monday from 12:30 – 1:25 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend. Clarence Charles Heringer, 76, of Medicine Hat, Alberta passed away peacefully, with family by his side at the Mazankowski Heart Institute in Edmonton, Alberta, on December 1, 2015.
