Elmer Ebel, beloved husband of Annie Ebel of Medicine Hat, passed away on Sunday, November 15th, 2015 at the age of 93 years. Elmer also leaves to cherish his memory four children, Dennis (Judy), Audrey (Larry) Dahl, Glen (Donna), and Eileen Boyd (Neil Peters), and their families. The Funeral Service will be held at the GLENVIEW CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE, 4072 Strachan Road SE, on Saturday, November 21st, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Larry Dahl officiating. Stacy Lynn Sadownik of Medicine Hat passed away on Thursday, November 12th, 2015 at the age of 39. Stacy will be forever cherished by her mother and father, Joan and Steve; brother, Steve (Nicole) and their children, Steven and Victoria; and sisters, Stephanie and her children, Sophia and Kira, and Suzzanne. Stacy was predeceased by her son, Vincent; sister, Tracy; as well as both sets of grandparents. She will be lovingly remembered as a beautiful, compassionate woman with a tender heart and a willingness to help anyone in need. She was loyal to her friends and would do anything for them. In her youth she was competitive in basketball, volleyball, swimming and running, winning provincial medals in the summer games. Even as an adult she was focused and physically fit! She had a love of cars, motorcycles and kayaks. Stacy was an adventuresome competitor and an avid reader. Stacy was proud as an adult when she received her Business Degree from the University of Lethbridge and was happiest working in her field. Vincent, her son, was the love of her life and she loved her dog, "Butters". Known for her ability to decorate, her home was always tasteful and welcoming. We will celebrate Stacy's life at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road S.E., on Wednesday, November 18th, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. with Bishop Mulholland officiating. Adele Freda English passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015, at the age of 86 years, beloved wife of the late Merle Auxier English. She leaves to cherish her memory, four children, Don (Pat), Darcy (Agnes), Diane (Jack) Swanson and Maureen (Howard) Stirling; eight grandchildren, Rhonda (Kevin) and their children, Karly, Kyle and Dane; Jason (Sarah); Jaylene (Curtis) and their children, Jaxon and Grady; Bris (Mike) and their daughter Elise; Michelle (Scott) and their children, Reece, Riley and Willow; Jacki (Harvey) and their children, Dylan and Quinn; Kendra (Lee) and their children, Xavier and Kooper; and Ashley (Drake); her sisters, Doreen (Ken) Schreiner and Myrtle (Leonard) Kettner, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Edna Jansen; her husband, Merle on February 14, 1998 and her brothers, Clinton on February 5, 1961 and Garry on September 3, 2003. Adele was the eldest of five children born to John and Edna Jansen on December 11, 1928. She grew up during the great depression on the family farm on "the Bench" south of Carmichael, Saskatchewan. She told stories of many great memories playing in the Creek and walking or riding her horse to the one room country school. After finishing high school in Gull Lake she worked as a telephone operator in Swift Current. She met her future husband, Merle, while he was custom combining for her parents and neighbours in the area. They were married on October 15, 1948, in Medicine Hat and honeymooned driving what was then a narrow road through the Rocky Mountains to Vancouver. She spent most of her life on the family ranch north of Maple Creek on the edge of the Great Sandhills. In 1978, they retired to Maple Creek until Merle's passing in 1998. In 2002, she moved to her condo in Medicine Hat until her health failed and then to the Good Samaritans. She was honoured to have been the President of the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party as well as running a candidacy for MLA in the seventies. She was also volunteer and advocate for the Maple Creek Museum. She loved to bowl, golf and fish. She also enjoyed square dancing; shuffleboard; biking and card games . She loved to travel and went on numerous trips. Adele was an avid reader and enjoyed her computer till she lost her sight around 2013. Adele enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was always proud of them all. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 12:00 to 12:55 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend. Brian “Gary” Flug passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at the age of 73 years, beloved husband of Mary-Ann Weigel) Flug of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory his daughter KellieRae (David) Mallette of Calgary and their son Scott; daughter-in-law Michelle Van Rensburg of Medicine Hat and her children, Schantel Flug (Chris Hochheimer) and Dallas Flug. He was predeceased by his son Darren on October 19, 2003. He also leaves to cherish his memory three brothers, Ken (Barb), Wayne, and Richard (Donna); one sister, Delores (Jim) Leach; Mary-Ann’s family: Irene (Larry) Todd, James (Cheryl) Weigel, Debbie (Gary) Podesta and sister-in-law Mary Ann Weigel as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Evelyn and Henry Flug; a sister Doreen in infancy; two brothers, Gordon (Susan) and Norman (Rose); sisters-in-law Josephine (John) Getz and Katherine (Ken) Sayer and brother-in-law Peter Weigel. Gary was born on March 6, 1942, in Burstall, Saskatchewan. At the age of six he moved with his family to Redcliff residing there until his marriage to Mary-Ann on November 9, 1963. He began employment as a partsman at a garage and then tried office work, then farming, concrete work and finally owning his own business “Sunshine Korner”. Gary was very active and an extremely good athlete. He was involved in all kinds of sports such as swimming, basketball, baseball, hockey and golf excelling at them all. Being a sociable person, he always surrounded himself with people and by nature was very generous. He was always agreeable with any request anyone had, if he didn’t know how, he would figure it out, no matter the cost or how much time it took. He will be greatly nemissed. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 – 10:25 a.m. Family and friends will gather for prayers in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated in Holy Family Parish (1451 Strachan Road SE) on Wednesday November 18, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Albert Sayson celebrant. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Mr. Robert Joseph Thorne, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Anna Thorne, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Sunday, November 15, 2015, at the age of 82 years.
