With heavy hearts the family announces the passing Lillian Bennett at the age of 84 on September 17th, 2015 with her loving family at her side. Lillian leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Keith, of 65 years; her four children, Linda Keith, Carol (Jim) Hintz, Peggy Wester (Grant Thompson), and Calvin (Michele) Bennett; 14 grandchildren, Mark (Karina) Backer, Dean (Amanda) Ressler, Kristin (Warren) Senft, Jason Reeder (Kari), Aaron Hintz (Chelsea), Carmen Hintz, Derek Hintz (Devon), Bradley Wester (Katie), Stephen Wester (Leslie), Kelly Wester (Larrisa), Shane (Andrea) Bennett, Sharrese Bennett (Adam), Shaun Bennett, and Shayla Bennett; four step-grandchildren, Brittney (Austin) LaBranche, Jared (Jennifer) Thompson, Delman Thompson, and Jenica Thompson; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Hunter (Joan); sister-in-law, Donna Hunter; brother-in-law, Roger (Janice) Bennett; sister-in-law, Lori Bennett; as well as many special nieces and nephews. Lillian was born in Fort Macleod on February 20th, 1931. She attended school in Spring Coulee and Magrath, Alberta. After graduating in 1949, she was employed by the Bank of Montreal in Magrath. On June 17th, 1950, the beautiful young bride married the handsome Keith Bennett. They lived in Arneson and Whitla where Keith was an elevator agent for the Alberta Wheat Pool. In 1952, Keith became a member of the Medicine Hat Police Force. Lillian was part of the Police Wives Association and a mentor and example to all the young Police wives. Lillian was a devoted wife and mother and was willing to follow her husband wherever life took them. Her memory will also be treasured by many very close friends. In the last three years, new friends were made at Chinook Village. Our mom’s full focus in life was family. She lived and breathed the successes and adventures of her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She loved to let everyone know what each of us were up to. As a family, we are extremely proud to call this wonderful woman, wife, mom, mother-in-law, Grandma (G-Ma), Great-Grandma, sister, sister-in-law, and of course, friend. We will miss you each and every moment of each and every day. We are blessed to have had you in our lives. We love you, always and forever! The Funeral Service will be held at

Jennifer Baugh of Medicine Hat, passed away on Monday, September 14th, 2015 at the age of 40 years. Jennifer leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Kara and Leavi Baugh (Brandon); her son, Jesse Baugh; her granddaughter, Ella Baugh; her mother, Margaret Sauvey (Barry); her brother, Jeff Sauvey (Bee); and her grandmothers, Mary Brettle and May Sauvey. Jennifer will also be sadly missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece and nephew, and close loving friends. 1951 ~ 2015
Richard ‘Rick’ Glen Riggins passed away peacefully with family by his side at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at the age of 64 years. Rick was born in Mission B.C. on March 23, 1951. As a young boy he lived in Erskine until 1956 when the family moved to Etzikom and later relocated to Medicine Hat in 1965. Rick married Gail Mulhall in Brooks, AB., and together had one son, Noble. The family resided in Brooks where Rick excelled as a Lawyer with Kay & Riggins and owned Wildrose Insurance. He loved sports and his competitive, friendly nature kept Rick at the top of his game whether it was baseball, curling or golf. He was a caring and dedicated member of his community and belonged to serveral service groups including the Elks, Rotary, Legion and the Lions Clubs. He enjoyed traveling and participated in many curling finals, trips to Ireland and his annual golf trips where he’d boast about not one but the three holes-in-one he achieved in his lifetime. Rick will be deeply missed by his mother, Jean Riggins; son, Noble Mulhall-Riggins; sister, Glenna Carlson and nephews, Chad (Krista) and their daughter, Kinley; Jordan (Kim) and their children, Sydney and Cole; Joel (Jaime) and their children, Jaxson, Hailie and Gavin. He was predeceased by his father, Glen Riggins. A Celebration of Rick’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 63, 235 – 3 Street West, Brooks, Alberta on Sunday, September 20, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations in Rick’s name may be made directly to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, #101, 1201 Kingsway Avenue S.E. It is with earthly sorrow that we announce the passing of Judith Tschetter, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, auntie and friend.
She accepted the Lord's will with strength & grace. Judith was born on March 25, 1958 to Mike and Susie Hofer of Spring Creek Colony, Walsh, Alberta. She lived there until she met and married her beloved husband, Mike Tschetter of Holt Colony on January 26, 1986. They lived their entire married life there and raised two beautiful children. Judith was an inspiration to all who knew her. Her strong Christian faith and endless will to achieve have been her strength and guidance throughout the 26 years that she battled ill health. She was an avid gardener and had what is known as a "green thumb". She made this world a much better place, was always eager to help out. Nobody ever left her home without a "good cup of coffee".
Grateful to have shared her live is her loving and devoted husband, Mike. His loving care and strong faith in God is what brought them through the many trials they faced together in life. Also her daughter Julia (Sam) Hadassah and Samantha. Son, Kevin (Julia) Kaydie and Eric. She leaves behind her mother, Susie; four brothers, Mike (Miriam), George (Annie), Phillip (Mary), John (Dora) all of Walsh. five sisters, Esther Rev. George), Sarah (Josh) all of Spring Creek, Susie (Jacob) of Webb, SK, Katie (Henry) of Warden, Washington, Dora (Dan) of Elkwater Colony; nine brothers-in-law and twelve sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
Judith was welcomed into eternity by her loving dad Mike S. who passed away in 2010. Her maternal grandparents, George and Sarah Wollman of Lewistown, Montana. Her paternal grandparents, John and Susie Hofer of Spring Creek. Her in-laws, Rev Mike and Sara of Holt also two nephews and a niece. The family sends out a heartfelt thank you to all who cared for Judy so lovingly through the years of her illness. You brought sunshine and joy to her days. May God bless you all.
A Funeral service for the late Judith Tschetter will be held on Friday, September 18. 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Holt Colony, Irma, Alberta. Interment will follow at the Holt Cemetery
