1917 ~ PHALEN ~ 2015

Sophie Phalen of Qualicum Beach, British Columbia, beloved wife of the late Stanley "Babe" Phalen, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015 at the age of 97 years. Sophie leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Patricia (Jim) O'Connor of Kamloops, BC, Donna Lien of Lethbridge, and Marge Rathwell of Medicine Hat; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Sophie was predeceased by her husband, Babe Phalen in 1982; her parents, Frederick and Maria Rosenfelder; and three sisters. The Graveside Service will be held at HILLSIDE CEMETERY, 10th Avenue and Gershaw Drive SW, on Saturday, July 11th, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. with Gary W. Goran officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery gates at 11:15 a.m. Memorial gifts in Sophie's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice. BOSCH

Ann Marie Bosch, beloved wife of the late Joe Bosch passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at the age of 86 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Phil (Darlene) Bosch, Richard Bosch, and Emily Klug; her grandchildren, Denise (Rick) Schmaltz, Phil Jr. Bosch, and Travis Klug; two great grandchildren, Madeline Schmaltz and Landon Schmaltz; two sisters-in-law, Marianne Hintz and Mary Bachmier as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Ferius and Marzelina Hintz; her step-mother, Rose Hintz; her husband, Joseph on December 29, 2003; one son-in-law, Tony Klug on August 11, 2013; one daughter-in-law, Linda Bosch on October 25, 2013; five brothers, Jack, John, Peter, John at 2 years old and Bernard Hintz and two sisters, Amelia Weimer and Rose in infancy. Ann was born on April 10, 1929 on the family farm near Fox Valley where she was raised and attended Rosenthal School. Ann married Joe Bosch in 1948. They farmed until 1964 then moved to Leader where Ann was employed at Leader Union Hospital as a dietary aid for 7 years. She then went to work for Westsern Senior’s Home for the next 17 years. Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved cooking and spending time with her family. Ann also loved to be around her grandchildren, the flowers around her yard, visiting with friends and dancing. She was a member of the C.W.L. for many years. Ann moved into the Wellington Retirement Home where she loved all the residents and the girls who worked on the floor taking care of the sick. She had two very good friends, Margaret Franz and Margaret Heringhaus, who were there for Ann when she was ill and helped with little things that needed taking care of. Family and friends will gather for prayers in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated in Holy Family Parish (1451 Strachan Road SE) on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Philip Le celebrant. A private family interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.
