1917 ~ OPSAL ~ 2015

George Opsal of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of the late Irene Opsal, passed away on Wednesday, July 1st, 2015 at the age of 97 years. George is survived by his only daughter, Lynn & Andrew Hesketh; three grandchildren, Rhonda & Kevin Friedt, Jason English (Sarah Atkinson) and Jaylene English (Curtis French); and five great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Lillian Needrum; and one sister-in-law, Nita Luker. Mr. Herbert "Herb" Kindopp of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of late Mrs. Vali Kindopp, passed away on Wednesday, July 1st, 2015 at the age of 86 years. Herb also leaves to cherish his memory his three children,

of Medicine Hat and family, Clayton Bastura (Krista Wilde) and their children, Brylen and Macksen, Kailey (Lee) Sprunger and their children, Beckam and Fischer and Kelsie (Derek) Collier and their daughter, Marlee; and
Vince (Bonnie) Kindopp
of Lloydminster and family, Tanner, Cassia, Kaden and Bryce; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Herb was predeceased by his parents; eight brothers; and two sisters. Herb was born on November 12th, 1928 on the family farm near Mossbank, Saskatchewan but spent most of his growing up years on the farm near Mazenod, Saskatchewan. He often joked that he, along with his brothers, had enough to form their own baseball team. He married his loving wife, Vali, on June 15th, 1956 in Regina. They moved to Shaunavon where they raised their family and remained there until retirement to Medicine Hat in 1990. Herb was a hardworking entrepreneur who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. 1929 ~ HALL ~ 2015

Heather Hall, beloved wife of Fred Hall of Medicine Hat, passed away on Friday, June 26th, 2015 at the age of 85 years. Heather also leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Todd (Linda) Hall of Dunmore and Drew Hall (Heli Rantala) of Crowsnest, Alberta; one grandson, Dustin Hall; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Heather was predeceased by her parents, Joe and Lillian Gough; and one brother, Joe Gough. Heather was born on October 31st, 1929 in England, where she was raised and educated. She met Fred in Nottingham and after two years of travelling from Canada to England, they married on May 8th, 1956 in Nottingham. Together Heather and Fred moved to Canada where Heather worked at the Medical Art Centre and Eaton's Department Store. Heather enjoyed the company of friends and family and will be missed greatly by all those who knew and loved her. A Private Graveside Service was held today, Friday, July 3rd, 2015. A Time of Fellowship will take place at a later date. ARTHUR DONALD “DON” WHITE

1924 ~ 2015
With great sadness we announce the passing of Mr. Arthur Donald (Don) White at the age of 91 years.
He leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 67 years, Mrs. Rose Eveline White, his daughter, Marla (Michael) Largary of Brooks, and his sons, Al (Marianna), and Bradley (Rachelle) of Lethbridge. Also, he leaves 10 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren who all loved him dearly, and his beloved sister, Mrs. Kathleen (Kay) Cummins on her farm near Torrington, AB.
He lived a very active life up to his passing, and was a lifelong boy scout taking in many jamborees worldwide. He served his country in World War II as an aircraft instrument technician with the RCAF, served as a reserve army officer for 24 years with Southern Alberta Regiment (SAR) in Medicine Hat, Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (RCEME), Royal Canadian Engineers (RCE), and Royal Canadian Artillery (RCA), all units that existed in Lethbridge over the years.
He was transferred to Lethbridge in 1950 with his wife Rose as Chief Engineer of the Crystal Dairy downtown until 1972 when he left the milk business to work for Gilbeys at Palliser Distillers as a Power Engineer and mechanic until his retirement in 1992. He also spent 25 years at the Lethbridge College teaching 4th class Power engineering two nights a week. He helped many students receive their 4th class Power Engineering ticket to further their careers in their fields of employment.
He was an active member with the Army, Navy, Air Force Veterans club (ANAF) of Lethbridge for over 50 years, active with the Boy Scouts of Canada most of his life, along with the Navy League of Canada.
Dad did it all… Air, ground and sea. All bases covered.
He also was a member of the Lethbridge United Services Institute (LUSI) since its inception, and enjoyed the many friendships he had with its members over the years.
His real passion was to travel the world, which he did very well over his many trips abroad. With his last trip conquering the Great Wall of China at the age of 80, and being invited by the Government of Canada to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Vimy Ridge with the Queen of England's presence in Northern France in 2006, along with his son, Al accompanying him there. Dad's father was also a World War I veteran as a mounted machine gunner, but was not involved at Vimy Ridge.
He enjoyed many hours in retirement at the Lethbridge Seniors Club playing carpet bowling with his many friends and serving on the board for some years as well.
He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur Tom White and Elsie Violet White
(Peckham) of Medicine Hat, and his eldest beloved son, Earl Curtis White and his lovely wife Valerie (Oakes) of Edmonton.
He always believed in helping his fellow man, and to always do his best whatever the task was before him.
He will be remembered.

EDWARD RABBY

1939 ~ 2015

With heavy hearts the family of Mr. Edward Rabby, beloved husband of Mrs. Evline Rabby, announce his passing at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at the age of 75 years. Ed was born on August 9, 1939 in Viking, Alberta, a son to Henry and Fern Rabby. He grew up on the family farm in Viking where he not only learned the value of a hard days work, he made many great memories with his brothers. Ed moved to Calgary and trained as a Heavy Duty Mechanic and Millright earning his ticket. While in Calgary he met and later married Evline on June 20, 1970. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Patrick, Michelle and Philip. The family moved to Medicine Hat and Ed struck out on his own opening his own business, M&R Machine Works. After leaving M&R Machine Works, he went to work at Goodyear for many years before retiring. His strong work ethic was evident as he was a reliable, dedicated employee who received much recognition over the years. Ed loved the outdoors and could often be found fishing, camping, hunting or simply relaxing and reading. He enjoyed touring on his motorbike with his little furry friend, Patches and flying recreational planes in the blue skies. Family meant everything to Ed and he will be dearly missed by his wife, Evline; children, Patrick (Jennifer) and their children, Sarah and Max; Michelle (Barry) Stigter and their children, Ethan, Eric and Kate; Philip (Crystal) and their children, Adilee and Peyson; two brothers, Glen (Patricia) Rabby and Richard (Elizabeth) Rabby as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Fern and two brothers, Kenneth and Laverne.
