.1938 ~ BURTON ~ 2015
Barbara Ellen Burton of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, March 4th, 2015 at the age of 76. Barbara leaves to cherish her memory her brother, James (Doreen) Burton; as well as seven nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, James and Florence Burton; and two brothers, David and Robert Burton. Barbara had fond memories of her growing up years on the farm at Tilley and received her education in Renfrew and Tilley. Barbara was very intelligent and loved learning. She became a teacher and taught in Rolling Hills, Duchess, Taber and Medicine Hat. Through her kind, patient and loving nature she was able to positively influence many students. Her interests were varied and included travel, reading, painting, guitar, piano, singing and knitting. After retirement she helped many people through her love of natural medicine with Reiki and Health Kinesiology. Barbara loved and cherished her family and her love for and extensive work in genealogy will be a legacy for them. After her brother’s death, the nurturing of his son, Aaron, became a very important part of her life. Barbara had a wonderful way with people and many called her friend. The Funeral Service will be held at CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, 7 Sierra Boulevard SW, on Friday, March 6th, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. with Bishop J. Mulholland presiding. Della Dianne Cairney, born July 8th, 1939, passed away February 26th, 2015 at the age of 75 years after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Della leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Tracey (Tim) Lazar; three grandchildren, Landon (Megara) Tarnasky, Breann Tarnasky, and Dallas Lazar (fiancée Amy Theise); her sister, Reta Driscoll; and special cousin, Doreen Bartoli. Della was predeceased by her parents, Alex and Esther Cairney; her brother,Alan Cairney; and grandson, Austin Lazar. A private familygraveside service will be held at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery. .MARY ANNE LITOUSKY
September 8, 1942 – March 4, 2015

It is with heartfelt emotion that the family of Mary Anne Litousky announces her passing on Wednesday, March 4th, 2015 at the age of 72 years. Surrounded by love, she took her last breaths to rejoin her father and mother, Evert and Vi Peterson, her brother and nephew, Floyd and Lee Peterson and her sister-in-law, Bertha Litowsky. Mary is survived by her loving husband; Bill Litousky, her children: Tony Litousky, Bill (Lori) Litousky, Barb (Murray) Faulkner, and Lilas Litousky. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren; Calvin Litousky, Bryanne (Trajan) Ogden, Haillee (Karel) Beijer, Connor and Harrison Litousky, Elizabeth Ast, Krystal (Dan) Gray, Samantha Ast, Cassandra “Casey” Ast, Aura and River Litousky; as well as her great-grandchildren; Seann and Lexi. Mary is also survived by her brother Merv (Joyce) Peterson, her sisters-in-law, Brenda Peterson and Susan (Manfred) Tiebs; brothers-in-law, Wally (Liz) Litousky, Joe Litowsky and Bob (Linda) Litowsky; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mary was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta and grew up on the family farm in the Box Springs area. She attended a country schoolhouse, then Alexandra Junior High, and Medicine Hat High School where she graduated in 1960. Mary loved animals, especially her pet lamb “Lamby” and she was always nurturing animals on the farm. She would always fight for the “little” guy and detested bullying. Mary married her soul mate, Bill, on May 25th, 1961 in Calgary, Alberta. They moved between Calgary, Lethbridge, Coaldale, and back to Medicine Hat in 1972. Mary loved Medicine Hat and the Prairies so much that moving to Penticton in 1991 had them move back to her beloved Prairies in 1993. Mary was a hard worker and loved everybody’s children like her own. She was proud to start a lunch program as a Teacher’s Aide at Alexandra Junior High School in the early 1980’s and was respected by all who came to know her. Mary was very artistic and loved to paint mostly landscapes and animals. She also became involved as a Board Member of Hatterland Children’s Theatre and never missed a play since 2002. Her love of her Saviour, Jesus Christ, was extremely important to her and she expressed it freely to all. Mary was a passionate lady who loved fiercely and unconditionally which is why everyone could call her “Mom”. For those fortunate to have received one of her “bear” hugs she will be deeply missed. 1945 ~ 2015
Mr. Morley Dwayne Henningsgard passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Monday, March 2, 2015, at the age of 70 years. Morley is survived by two children, Shauna Donnachie and Jasen Henningsgard and their families; sister, Karren (Peter) Graham; uncles, Norman Carlson and Earl (Sheila) Carlson and their families as well as numerous other extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by a son, Garrick Henningsgard; his parents, Bud and Dora Henningsgard as well as two brothers, Roger and Delbert Henningsgard. A Private Interment Service will be held in the Bow Island Cemetery at a later date.
