1939 ~ HOLYK ~ 2014Paul Holyk of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, December 17th, 2014 at the age of 75 years. Paul leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Roman (Edna) Holyk of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. Paul was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Ann Holyk; and one brother, Mike. Paul was born on April 2nd, 1939 in Elk Point, Alberta. He moved to Lloydminster and worked on the family farm as well as other jobs. Paul operated the service station in Irvine for 10 years before retiring to Medicine Hat. He enjoyed fishing, reading, listening to music, and keeping up on all the current events on his radio. The Graveside Service will be held at Hillside Cemetery, 10th Avenue and Gershaw Drive SW, on Monday, December 22nd, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Canon D. Gene Packwood officiating. MARION MEIERMarion Meier, beloved wife of Adam Meier, passed away after brief illness at the age of 77 on December 15 at the Leader Hospital.
She is survived by her husband Adam, children Gary (Florence) Meier, Patti (Keith) Wirth, Luanne (Paul Dietrich) Todd, Sandy (David) Ruckaber, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral service is Tuesday, December 23 at 11:00 a.m C.S.T. at the Little Flower Catholic Church, Leader, Saskatchewan.

MOCKHarvey John Mock passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at the age of 78 years, beloved husband of Gloria Mock of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory three children, Terry (Shannon) Mock of Medicine Hat, Marcele (Bob) Hall of Red Deer and Bruce (Rose) Mock of Medicine Hat; five grandchildren, Steven Hall, Bobbi Jean Hall, Rhonda Eichorn, Jennifer Eichorn, David Eichorn; four great grandchildren, Rayne, Mya, Hayden and Tyreed Eichorn; two sisters, Ann (George) Jeske, Esther (Leonard) Klaudt and a sister-in-law, Ruby Brost all of Medicine Hat as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Lena and Ted Mock; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Ed and Martha Walker; a brother-in-law Harlow Brost and a nephew Blake Brost. Harvey was born on May 8, 1936 and on the farm in the Many Islands Lake area north of Irvine where he was raised. He farmed with his dad until meeting Gloria Walker. Harvey and Gloria were married on October 14, 1961. At this time, he started working for Medicine Hat Coop Service Centre where he worked for 35 years until his retirement. Through Harvey’s retirement years, he spent his time fishing with Gloria and friends. One of his may prides was growing peppers and then bragging about them to his friends during morning coffee at Levinson Music. Harvey and Gloria also spent time going to polka fests and rodeo’s. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend.
