Herb Weiss, beloved husband of Matilda Weiss of Medicine Hat, passed away on Sunday, December 7th, 2014 at the age of 87 years. Herb leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Gerald (Dallas) and Keith (Kim) and their families. The Funeral Service will be held at ST. Donald “Don” Perrior, beloved husband of Victoria “Vickie” Perrior passed away on Monday, December 8th, 2014 at the age of 67 years. Don also leaves to cherish his memory one son, Dain (Shauna) Perrior of Medicine Hat; his grandson, Bennett; one brother-in-law, Allan Larch; one sister-in-law, Doris Sayeau; nephews, Steven (Kendra) Perrior, and Justin (Jennifer) Mahaux; special nephews, Aaron Greenwood, Jason Aman, Brandon Aman and Brian Shea; nieces, Liane Perrior (Dave Greenwood), Wendy (Sean) Shea, Debbie Larch (Jake Abes), Trina Larch, and Jennifer Larch and their families; special nieces, Lacey Lerner (Dustin), Courtney Perrior, Chrystal Aman, Angel Shea and Christine Shea. Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Thursday, December 11th, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. .EMELIA (EMY) MARY CRAVEN
1954 ~ 2014
It is with heavy hearts, the family of our beautiful and much loved Emy announces her passing on December 4th at Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta. Named after her late grandmothers, Emelia Schwean and Mary Thorburn, Emy was born February 24th, 1954 in Herbert, Saskatchewan to Victor and Margaret Schwean. From the moment she entered this world, Emy left an indelible impression on everyone she met. She had an extraordinary personality, one that was larger than life and set her apart from others. Our Emy had an immense presence; she was beautiful, charismatic, confident, humorous, curious, willing to take risks, and never fearful of expressing her opinion. We can’t imagine life without her. Emy remains forever in the hearts of her husband, Brent Craven; her daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Matt Sims and much loved grandchildren, Tess and Finn; her son, Robbie Lynch; her son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Lynndy Lynch and darling grandchildren, Madison and Abby; sisters, Dr. Vicki Schwean (Dr. Don Saklofske and nephew, Micah) and Dr. Karen Schwean-Lardner (Dr. Bart Lardner and niece, Jori and nephew, Jesse), and younger brother, Michael Schwean (Tanis and nephews, Jory and Jevin). Emy’s beloved and loyal dog, Ruby, will forever grieve her passing. Also mourning her loss are mother-in-law, Marlene Craven; stepsons, Mikki (Suzie and adored granddaughter Olivia) and Dustin Craven; brothers-in-law, Murray Craven (Sheri and nieces, Haley and Sarah and nephew, Joel) and Greg (nephews, Michael and Daniel). Emy also leaves behind many loving relatives and friends. Emy was predeceased by her parents, Victor and Margaret Schwean; father-in-law, Ron Craven; brother, Jory and first husband, Tim Grisak. A Celebration of Emy’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13th Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Thursday, December 11th, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to the Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada, 1350 Sherbrooke St. West, Suite 300, Montreal, QC., H3G 1J1.
