.1918~ DEUTSCHER ~ 2014
Edna Deutscher of Medicine Hat passed away on Saturday, November 29th, 2014 at the age of 96. Edna leaves to cherish her memory her two nephews, Fred and Robert Mallach; her five nieces Dorothy May, Peggy Mallach, Janet Wourms, Jeanne Madden and Karen Linsay; as well as their families. Edna was predeceased by her parents ; as well as her two nephews Ken Husch, and Douglas Deautscher; one brother Edwin (Irene) Deutscher as well as two sisters Erna (Clarence) Mallach and Linda (William) Husch. Edna was born in Burstall Saskatchewan and moved to Medicine Hat in 1937. In 1947 she then moved to Kelowna B.C. After three years in 1950 she came back to Medicine Hat and started her twenty five and half year career with Canada Safeway on the hill. In 1976 she retired from her career and followed her love and passion for traveling and volunteer work. There will be a private family interment at a later date. Rose Stark beloved wife of the late Ralph Stark passed away on Thursday, November 27th, 2014 at the age of 92. Rose leaves to cherish her memory her children, Anmarie, Leonard & Teena, Carol and Merv & Marguerite; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; brother Edward & Shirley Freimark; numerous nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by loving husband, Ralph, infant daughter Rose Marie, and son in law Don Griffiths. Rose had the heart of a saint; she was always ready and willing to help others. Her family was very special to her as she would do all that she could for them. .A week ago Friday, many friends, family and Legion members attended a farewell celebration in Cook’s Chapel for Fred Dee. Deacon Terry spoke of the gentleness of a kind man who was there for those in need. Fred’s involvement in the community and through the Legion expanded four decades. Fred’s nephew, Doug fondly reminisced on the life and times spent growing up with a hero in the family and Gerry shared in singing special hymns of praise that were special to Fred and his family. The Legion members presented a Poppy Service for their fallen comrade as a final farewell for his service to God and his country.
Oh, he was not alone.
Others have fallen too.
And time will not erase the fact…
They fell for me and you.

Dorothy Rachael Weir, beloved wife of the late Bob Weir, passed away in Bow Island on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the age of 98 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Evangelical Free Church, 214 – 4 Avenue West, Bow Island on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 between 11:00 A.M. and 12:00 P.M.
A private burial service will be held at the Bow Island Cemetery prior to the funeral service.
