Alice Ulrich of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Bill Ulrich, passed away on Thursday, October 23rd, 2014 at the age of 87 years after a short courageous battle with cancer. It is with great sadness that the family of Angeline “Angela” Burritt announces her passing on Sunday, October 26th, 2014 at the age of 72 years. Angela leaves to cherish her memory her children: Deborah (Derek) Murray of Medicine Hat and their children, Jasmine (David) and Jarrett; Wendy (Murray) Easson of Woodridge, Manitoba and their daughter, Sabrina (Curtis) and children, Ezekiel, Xavier, and Aidan; and Stacy Crouch (Joy) of Medicine Hat and their children, Savannah and Sebastian; four brothers, Walter (Barb) Eresman, John Eresman, Ralph (Linda) Eresman and Charlie Eresman, all of Medicine Hat; two sisters, Rose (Tony) Lanz of Medicine Hat and Annie Nickel of Calgary; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Angela was predeceased by her husband, Sam; her parents, Michael and Katherine Eresman; one grandchild, Loni Lee Crouch; one sister, Carole Eresman; two sisters-in-law, Bernice Eresman and Lavina Eresman; and one brother-in-law, Nick Nickel. Angela was born in the Fox Valley area where her family lived until moving to Medicine Hat. Angela was a strong and caring person throughout her life. She had many occupations but the last was a nursing aid in a nursing home. Angela was a ‘go getter’ and would help anyone at any time. She will always be remembered for her work ethic and love of family and friends. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, on Friday, October 31st, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Gary W. Goran officiating. A Private Interment will follow in the Family Plot at Hillside Cemetery. Rev. Harold Jost (October 5, 1923 – October 27, 2014) passed away peacefully, at the age of 91 years old, at the Extended Care Unit in Milk River. He is now in the arms of His Savior and Lord whom he loved so dearly. He was predeceased by his wife Esther on February 17, 2012; his father and mother, John and Agatha; nine brothers and sisters, and one granddaughter, Amanda Jost. He is survived by his children, Ken Jost (son); Karen (Bernie) Fehr (daughter); Tim (Lorraine) Jost (son); and Dale (Lisa) Jost (son). He leaves behind 20 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren who are so grateful for his Godly example and life. The Memorial Service will be held at the Seven Persons Community Church on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Our dear father and grandfather will be so greatly missed. He will live in our hearts forever, and we look forward to our reunion in heaven. King Yiu Lam of Calgary, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2014, at the age of 90 years, beloved wife of the late Tay On. She leaves to cherish her memory four children, Norman (Winnie), Frank (Jenny), Irwin (Minnie) and Wendy (Bruce) Chin; ten grandchildren, Raymond, Randy, David, Christina, Angela (Jamie), Eric (Rachel), Kelvin, Kelly, Percy and Pearl; five great grandchildren and one brother in China. She was predeceased by her husband, Tay On on January 31, 1988. Mrs. Pauline Helfrich, beloved wife of the late Mr. Jacob ‘Jake’ Helfrich, passed away peacefully at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Monday, October 27, 2014, at the age of 87 years. Pauline leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Leonard of Medicine Hat, Michael (Judy) of Calgary as well as one granddaughter, Tabitha, who was a source of great joy and inspiration to her. Pauline’s memory will also be cherished by one sister, Tillie Robinson of Edmonton. She was predeceased by her parents, Adam and Barbara Bauer as well as eight sisters and three brothers. Pauline was a hard worker and a good homemaker. She enjoyed time spent with family, especially the regular Sunday picnics in Kin Coulee playing cards with relatives and friends. Pauline’s memory will be cherished without the proceedings of a formal service.
