1941 ~ SCHNEIDER ~ 2014Mr. Billie “Bill” Edward Schneider of Medicine Hat, passed away on Monday, October 20th, 2014 at the age of 73 years. It is with a heavy heart that Lynn Fretts announces the peaceful passing of her beloved husband and best friend, Don Fretts, which occurred at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary on Sunday, October 19, 2014, at the age of 58 years. Along with Lynn, left to cherish Don’s memory are his step-children, Heather (Lloyd)?Smith, Tracey (Colin) Eld and Clinton (Melissa) Bratton: seven grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Nicki) Fretts and their children, Bobby and Angela (fiancé Darrel); one sister, Linda (Dave) Beglaw and Linda’s children, Terri (Ryan) Tabor and Ryan (Teresa) Hansen; four sisters-in-law, Doreen (Delmer) Wagner, Shirley O’Brien, Joanne Minshull, Laura (Brian) Reynolds; one brother-in-law, Ken (Wendy) Martin as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Evelyn Fretts. JESSETheodore “Ted” Jesse was called to his heavenly home on Thursday, October 16, 2014, at the age of 90 years. He is survived by Lenora, his beloved wife of 66 years. He also leaves to cherish his memory his children, Janice (Robert) Burns and Darrell (Sandra) Jesse; three grandchildren, Shane Burns, Tyler (Amy) Jesse and Ryan (Ashley) Jesse; one sister-in-law, Anne Jesse, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Bernhard and Rosalia Jesse; his brothers, Edwin, Theodore (at the age of 2 years) and Otto and his grandson, Dalton. Ted was born on March 21, 1924 at Hilda. He attended Lodi School for grades one to six and New Hilda School for grades seven and eight. On October 24, 1947, he married Lenora Maier at Peace Lutheran Church in Schuler. Together, Ted and Lenora farmed the family homestead at Hilda for 28 years. After leaving the farm, Ted began his second career when he joined the Schlenker Auction team where he worked for 23 years. During his retirement years, Ted enjoyed camping in the motor home, fishing, and playing cards, as well as numerous hours spent crafting projects in his woodworking shop. Throughout his entire lifetime, Ted was a faithful and active member of his church. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church (515 Sprague Way SE) on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ken Edel officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. Richard Davison passed away at the Peter Lougheed Hospital on Sunday, October 12, 2014, just short of his 59th birthday. Richard is survived by his mother, Florence Davison; brothers, John and Paul of England as well as his many co-workers and friends in Canada. WALTERSMary Louise Walters of Medicine Hat, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at the age of 91 years, beloved wife of the late Lloyd Walters. She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Linda (Norm) Spyker and Brenda (Vernon) Herter; five grandchildren, Norm (Michelle), Laura (Rod), Lana, Kimberly (Jamie) and Pamela (Darcy); eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Mercy and Joseph Cummings; her husband, Lloyd on January 2, 1997; one brother, Joseph and two sisters, Irene and Helen. Mary was born on August 13, 1923 in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan where she married Lloyd Walters on September 17, 1942. They resided in Fox Valley until the fall of 1962, at which time they moved to Medicine Hat. Mary was an avid reader and enjoyed doing embroidery. While living in Fox Valley she was very active in the C.W.L. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 – 10:55 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery at a later date.
