Donna Madeline Tennant of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Alec Tennant, passed away on Sunday, July 6th, 2014 at the age of 94 years. The Funeral Service was held yesterday at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL with The Reverend Canon D. Gene Packwood officiating. A Private Interment followed in the Family Plot at Hillside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Donna’s memory may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Parkinson Alberta Society. Mr. James “Jim” Wilfred Rath, beloved husband and soulmate of Mrs. Inez Rath of Medicine Hat, passed away on Sunday, July 6th, 2014 at the age of 79 years. A private graveside service and Come and Go Celebration were held yesterday at Chinook Village. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Jim’s memory may be made to Kidney Foundation of Canada. .AUDREY ANN HEIDINGER
(nee Simpson)
1946 ~ 2014

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Audrey Ann Heidinger (nee Simpson), announce her passing while at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at the age of 67 years. Audrey was born and raised in Medicine Hat graduating from Medicine Hat High School. She attended Mount Royal College and worked as a secretary following graduation. Audrey also worked in the construction business owning her own trucking company as well, she worked as a cook and a seamstress. Audrey always found time to do some volunteer work as well. She was a life-time member of the Moose and was still very active. Audrey will be forever remembered in the hearts of her twin daughters; Cheryl (Brent) Noble, Carol (Dion) Fernetti and Francis Gwen Demaris; grandchildren, Ashley, Dillion & Emilia Noble and Carlee & Nathaniel Fernetti; siblings, Nancy (Bob) Webster, Wendy Hughes, Glen Hughes, Penny (Bob) Gaetz, Pete (Naomi) Simpson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Pete & Audrey Simpson. A celebration of her life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Medicine Hat Health Foundation, 666 – 5 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, AB. .LERNER
Hildegard Lerner, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Hilde passed away on July 7, 2014 at the age of 88 years. She is survived by her husband of 27 years Jack Lerner, her son Eric Hoffman and her sister Margot Colicchia. Eric and his wife Anne, have two children, Erin and Keith Hoffman. Jack has two children from a previous marriage; Dale Lerner, married to Barbara, and Tom Lerner, married to Sherry. Hilde was born in Germany, immigrated to Canada in 1947, and soon after met and fell in love with her first husband, Jacob Hoffman. Together, they farmed near Grenfell, Saskatchewan and had their son Eric. They moved to Medicine Hat in 1967 where a few years later, Jacob passed away. Hilde and Jack Lerner met and fell in love in 1982 and married shortly after. They make their home in Medicine Hat, where a private memorial was held.
