Donna Madeline Tennant of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Alec Tennant, passed away on Sunday, July 6th, 2014 at the age of 94 years. Mr. Alfred Robert Beierbach of Medicine Hat, passed away on Sunday, July 6th, 2014 at the age of 72 years. Alfred leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Sandra Beierbach; one daughter, Stella (Sheldon Hill) Sehn; three beautiful grandchildren, Marley Hill, Sierra Hill and his little muffin, Lauren Hill; one brother, Adolf (June) Beierbach; one sister, Ruth Johnson; and nieces and nephews, Sheldon, Cheyenne, Evert, Barry, Craig and Shawna. Alfred was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Anna Beierbach; two brothers; and one sister. As per Alfred’s request a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. 1951 ~ 2014
It is with great sadness that we, the family of Marlene Paulsen of Medicine Hat, AB., announce her passing which occurred at her residence on Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Marlene was born on February 20, 1951, at Vanguard, SK. She grew up on the family farm at Hallonquist, SK. and graduated from Hodgeville High School. Marlene worked for many years in the banking industry from Swift Current, SK. to Richmond, B.C. She resided most of her life in Calgary, AB. with her partner, Darrell Willett before moving to Medicine Hat to be closer to her daughter, Shannon and her family. Marlene enjoyed getting out to shop for clothes, jewellery and frog ornaments. She enjoyed visiting and going for coffee with her friends. Her most precious moments came from spending time with her grandsons, Skylar and Preston, either at their home or at the lake. Marlene is survived by her daughter, Shannon (Mark) Fink and two grandsons Skylar and Preston of Medicine Hat; one brother, Milton Paulsen of Hallonquist; one sister, Tammy (Ken) Deobald of Swift Current; nephew, Blake (Erlene) Deobald; great-nephew, Vann and a great-niece, Bobbi of Swift Current as well as a niece, Brigitte Deobald of Calgary. She was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Irene Paulsen as well as one grandson named Simon. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Bob McGougan was held at the Hillcrest Evangelical Missionary Church on Saturday, July 5, 2014. Interment will take place at a future date in Swift Current. Helen Agnes Penner passed away peacefully in the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, on Monday, July 7, 2014, at the age of 82 years, beloved wife of the late Ernest Penner. She leaves to cherish her memory four sisters, Margaret Marieno, Rosella Michalezki and Jean Blundell all of Medicine Hat; Shirley (Roy) Liden of Port Coquitlam, B.C. as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her mother Adelaide (Fred) Bazguri and her father, Joseph Curtis; her husband, Ernest on November 30, 2003; three brothers-in-law, Dave Marieno, Paul Michalezki and Grant Blundell; one sister Evelyn in infancy; one nephew, one niece and a great nephew. A private family graveside service will take place at Hillside Cemetery.
