Rita Urton (nee Grezaud) of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Bert Urton, passed away on Thursday, April 24th, 2014 at the age of 94 years. Rita is survived by one sister, Eleonore (Lola) of Winnipeg, Manitoba; numerous nieces and nephews in Nova Scotia, Saskatoon, North Vancouver, and Medicine Hat; as well as special friends, Wendy, Bonnie and Blair. She was predeceased by her husband, Bert; and her son, Richard. Rita was born on November 20th, 1919 in Duck Lake, Saskatchewan. Thank you to her doctor and the staff at The Good Samaritans for taking good care of her. Rest in peace, Rita. At Rita’s request, no funeral service will be held. Mr. Theophil Heller of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Lydia “Lizzie” Heller, passed away on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2014 at the age of 93 years. Theophil leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, Sharon (Allen) Klymochko, Yvonne (Don) Lunn and Sheila (Geoff) Burkart; seven grandchildren, Steve Klymochko (Connie), Koeye (Wendy) Klymochko, Keyen Klymochko, Nathan Lunn, Cody (Ganga) Lunn, Tysen Heller and Tanisha Burkart; two great-grandchildren, Aden Lunn and Reece Lunn; one half-brother, Sam Wagner (Martha, predeceased); three sisters, Irene (Ted) Jess, Annette (Lawrence) Sackmann and Bertha (Milbert) Riegel; one sister-in-law, Violet Heller; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Theophil was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Lizzie; his parents, Conrad and Elizabeth Heller; one sister, Hildagard Stelter; one brother, Edwin Heller; and eight half-siblings, Erna (Robert) Schweeder, John Heller, Emil (Lil) Heller, Emmanuel (Hilda) Heller, Mary (Otto) Stuber, Eli (Sophie) Wagner, William (Berta) Wagner and Ruth (Emil) Brost. Theophil was born on January 30th, 1921 in Wisdom, Alberta where he was raised and educated. He married Lizzie Weiss on October 25th, 1947. Together, Theophil and Lizzie farmed in Seven Persons before moving to Irvine where they raised their 3 daughters on the family farm. Theophil enjoyed playing cards and marbles with family and friends, going to rodeos, watching baseball and hockey. He and his van could be found twice a day at Dairy Queen for coffee with his numerous friends. Theophil planted a huge garden every year, which he generously gave to family, friends, and neighbours. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Linda Wurfel, beloved wife of the late Ernest Wurfel, passed away in Medicine Hat on Friday, December 13, 2013, at the age of 96. Linda is survived by her son, Albert (Agnes) of Athabasca; daughter, Ardis Tingley (Dave) of Medicine Hat; daughter-in-law, Beth of Calgary; sister, Lorene Chacalias of Medicine Hat; sisters-in-law, Marie Roth of Regina and Bertha Janzen of Medicine Hat; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Linda was predeceased by her husband, Ernest; son, Gordon; grandson, Curtis; step-grandson, Erik Vatanen; parents, Karl and Adele Roth; brothers, Herbert, Arnold, Richard and Walter Roth. Linda was interred with her late husband, Ernest, at the Mountain View Cemetery in Lethbridge on December 19, 2013. A Memorial Service celebrating Linda’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Julianna Wehrfritz- Hanson officiating.
