ABERLERose Helen Aberle of Medicine Hat, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014, at the age of 84 years, beloved wife of the late Joseph Aberle. She leaves to cherish her memory three children, Rita (Dwayne) Tugwell, Joanne (Tom) Boechler and Jonathan Aberle; four grandchildren, Kelly (Chris Besenski) Schmitt; Kristy (Amanda) Schmitt (step daughter, Mataya) and their father Archie Schmitt; Jodi and Jordan Aberle and their mother, Arlene; one brother, Alexander Krassman and two sisters-in-law, Tillie (DanÝ) Krassman and Tillie (TonyÝ) Krassman as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Christina and Alexander Krassman; her husband Joseph on April 30, 2010; one daughter, Christina (Hugh) Campbell; two grandchildren, Roderick and Rosalind Zacher; brothers, John (Agnes), Dan, Tony (Helen); sisters, Phyllis (Vincent) Lowdermilk, Tillie (Nat) Aberle, Pauline (Paul) Stober. Rose was born on September 7, 1929 at Schuler where she was raised. On October 26, 1946 she married Joe Aberle in Schuler where they made their home farming and raised their family. In her spare time she loved doing crafts and growing flowers. Rose had a heart of gold which shown through as she opened her home to family and friends who never left with an empty stomach. She had a dry wit and a sense of humour that she kept right until the very end. Rose was a member of T.O.P.S. for decades and won numerous awards. She was also a member of the C.W.L. for over 60 years. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Sunday evening from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 9:30 – 10:25 a.m. Family and friends will gather for prayers in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated in Holy Family Parish (1451 Strachan Road SE) on Monday, January 20, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Matthew Emmelkamp celebrant. Interment will follow in the family plot Hillside Cemetery. Mr. Telford Laurel Findlay beloved husband of Eva Findlay sadly passed away on Tuesday, January 14th, 2014 at the age of 85 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his children: Colleen (Clarence) Haaf; Colette (Murray) Mayer and Merlin (Pat) Findlay; grandchildren, Matt (Laura) Haaf, Jessica (Clay Montoya) Haaf, and Kristopher (Miranda Rhodes) Mayer; great grandchildren, Kingston and Grayson Haaf had a special place in Great-grandpa’s heart. Dad was predeceased by his parents and two sisters and is survived by five sisters and two brothers. Dad lived a simple life, camping and fishing whenever possible, and loved spending time with his family. He was extremely handy and there wasn’t a thing he couldn’t fix. Animals were also very special to dad; his home was never without a pet of some sort, be it fish, dogs, cats or birds. In lieu of flowers, donations to S.P.C.A., 55 Southwest Drive SW, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 8E8 or to Save Old Souls, P.O. Box 478, Redcliff, Alberta, T0J 2P0 would be appreciated.
