Anton “Tony” Kopp of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of the late Catherine Kopp, passed away on Saturday, November 23rd, 2013 at the age of 93 years. 1959 ~ 2013
Mrs. Christina Entz (nee Hofer), beloved wife of Nathan Entz of Burdett, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 25, 2013, at the age of 54 years. Christina was born in Raymond, Alberta on July 22, 1959. She was married to Nathan Entz for 29 years and lived on the Ponderosa Colony until August of 2010 when at that time, they moved to Burdett. Christina loved her family and loved people in general. She wanted to be a part of all community events and blessed many with her treats of delicious cinnamon buns – she was always cooking! She had a huge, generous heart and her gift was to make other people happy. Christina enjoyed the company of others and loved to hear a funny story and play games. She will be deeply missed by her husband Nathan; children, Lynn of Lethbridge, Dale (Lisbeth) of Ponderosa Colony, Tamara and Ike of Burdett; her mother, Rachel Hofer of the Plainview Colony; two sisters, Martha (Mark) Entz and Margaret Hofer; four brothers, Andrew (Katie) Hofer, Mike (Susie) Hofer, Ike (Leah) Hofer and Paul (Linda) Hofer; special nieces, Rosanna and Martina Entz as well as many other nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law through marriage. A Celebration of Christina’s life will be held at the Burdett Centennial Hall, Main Street Burdett, Alberta on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Rod Taylor officiating. Private interment will take place at the Burdett Cemetery prior to the celebration of Christina’s life. .DAL MOLIN
It is with deep sorrow that his family has to announce that Aldo Antonio Dal Molin passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013. Aldo will be forever remembered by his family and he will be greatly missed. He leaves his brother Italo (Piera) Dal Molin; nephews and nieces, David (Lisa) Dal Molin, Randy (Caroline) Dal Molin, Linda (Colin) Kryski, Louis Dal Molin, Gabriella (Chris) Sas, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. Aldo was predeceased by his mother, Fortunata and his father, Luigi, his older brother, Lino and his sister-in-law, Teresa Dal Molin. Aldo immigrated to Canada in 1957, coming to Medicine Hat and making this his home. Aldo worked at the Brick and Tile for his entire career of 42 years before retiring in 1999. He will always be remembered for his warm and friendly demeanor and for socializing with his family and friends. Aldo’s passion for life was reflected through his passion for gardening, growing his own grapes and making his own homemade wine. He would enter his fruits of labor every year into the Medicine Hat Exhibition and come away with many first and second place prizes. Sundays for Aldo was time for family and friends and you could find him and his brothers playing Bocce at the nearest school yard or park. Aldo’s love of travel took him to many different places across the continents where he loved to social with his family and friends. Although he never married, he loved his nieces and nephews like they were his own children. Aldo, as the hands of God have come to take you away, go in peace and know our love for you will always be there. 1925 ~ 2013
Mrs. Garnette Denise Schneider of Medicine Hat passed away peacefully at Masterpiece Living, River Ridge on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at the age of 88 years. She leaves to cherish her memory: son, Dennis (LaDonna) Schneider of Medicine Hat; grandchildren, Alexander and Gregory Schneider of Medicine Hat as well as Dennis’ father, Elliot Joseph Schneider. She was predeceased by numerous siblings and extended family members. Garnette was born in Flint, Michigan on August 17, 1925, to John and Vida Willis. At a young age, her family immigrated to Alberta and settled in Medicine Hat. Garnette operated her own business as a Bookkeeper for years before retiring to pursue some of her other interests, including painting and genealogy. She was involved within the community serving with the Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of D.A.R. Garnette enjoyed sports, cheering loudest when her Red Wings, Oilers or Eskimos were playing. She had a great sense of humour and a gentle soul as evident through her love of animals, especially her poodle, Scruffy. Garnette’s life will be remembered through a private service to be held at a later date. .PISONI
Luciano Pisoni passed away on Monday, November 25, 2013, at the age of 78 years, beloved husband of Maria Rosa Pisoni of 49 years. He also leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Mario (Stacey) and Ron (Michelle) all of Medicine Hat; four grandchildren, Aidan, Jonas, Tiana and Kalista; one brother, Italo (Rose) Pisoni of Medicine Hat and one sister Piera (Italo) Dal Molin of Medicine Hat; a sister-in-law, Anna Maria (Davide) Bleggi of Italy as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Ersilia and Giacomo Pisoni and one sister, Coronata Pisoni. Luciano immigrated to Canada in 1953 at the age of eighteen and shortly after learned the trade of bricklaying which he enjoyed doing for thirty years. In 1963 he went back to Italy where he married the love of his life, Maria Rosa, and they returned to Canada to start a new life together. In the years that followed, Luciano enjoyed farming which he continued to do until his passing. Luciano was a highly skilled, creative individual. He had a knack for inventing unique, time-saving and power-increasing gadgets around the farm. He created personal wines as well as flavorful spices for cooking. He will be remembered as a remarkable individual who helped anyone who needed assistance. Luciano dearly loved his family and friends. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart; Nonno will be dearly missed.
