1923 ~ FUCHS ~ 2013Mrs. Regina Fuchs of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Mr. John Fuchs, passed away on Tuesday, October 29th, 2013 at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital Palliative Care at the age of 89 years. Regina leaves to cherish her memory her only daughter, Maureen Bosch of Medicine Hat; granddaughters, Tammy (Terry) Gardner and Shelly (Aaron) Middleton, both of Medicine Hat; the apple of her eye, her great granddaughter, Isabella Middleton, whom she truly adored; two sisters, Isabelle Kabatoff of Kelowna, BC and Rose Wilson of Vernon, BC; two brothers, Ed (Rae) Sehn of Winfield, BC and Tony (Bernie) Sehn of Armstrong, BC; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Sehn of Camrose and Martha Mayer of Calgary; and numerous nieces and nephews. Regina was predeceased by her husband, John; parents, Edmund and Rose (nee Duchscherer) Sehn; son-in-law, Sebastian “Seb” Bosch; John’s parents, John and Katherine (nee Michel) Fuchs; four sisters, Tillie (Joe) Beaulac of Paradise Hill, SK, Mary (John) Schafer of Box Accord, AB, Katherine Sehn of Fox Valley, SK and Josephine (John) Bleile of Unity, SK; four brothers, Charlie (Shirley) Sehn of Maple Ridge, BC, John Sehn of Camrose, AB, Herman (Katie) Sehn of Keromeos, BC and Alex Duchscherer of Cranbrook, BC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry (Emma) Fuchs, Ed (Jenny) Fuchs, Molly (Oscar) Wenzel, Lydia (Art) Gagnon, Katie (Ted) Graff, Mike Kabatoff, Robert Wilson and Clarence Mayer. Regina was born on December 10th, 1923 to Edmund and Rose Sehn at Fox Valley. She married John Fuchs on November 11th, 1941 at Leader, Saskatchewan where she resided until John’s death on December 10th, 1981 when a few years later she moved to Medicine Hat to be closer to her daughter. Regina was a “Jack of All Crafts” from sewing, ceramics, tatting, porcelain doll making, quilting and the list goes on. She loved going for breakfast every Saturday morning with her family and having coffee with her friends at fast food places. Mom was the best cabbage roll maker and strudels were her trademark and were enjoyed by her family and their friends. She was strong in her faith and lived by that standard every day. Mom was the best mom, gramma and great gramma ever. She was noted for her love of jewelry and bling, so we ask if you could wear some “bling” to her funeral. CHISHOLM Kathleen “Nikki” Noreen Chisholm of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at the age of 83 years, beloved wife of the late Alex Chisholm. She leaves to cherish her memory six children, Sharon Mellor, Heather DeGagne, Colin (Christine) Chisholm, Kirby Chisholm, Velvet (Darren) Swaren and Shane (Pamela) Chisholm all of Medicine Hat; fifteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Dobie and Sheila (Jack) Young; two brothers, Noel (Lorraine) Kirby and George (Shirley) Kirby; one sister-in-law, Irene Kirby as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Luke and Lily Kirby; her husband, Alex; one son-in-law, David Mellor; one granddaughter, Stephanie Chisholm; one brother, Luke Kirby; one sister, Patsy, in childhood and one brother-in-law, Jim Dobie. Nikki was born in Vancouver and moved to Copper Mountain B.C. when she was 8 years old. She graduated from high school in 1948 at the top of her class (the only grade 12 student that year). On May 22, 1952 Nikki married Alex Chisholm. They spent their honeymoon travelling to Medicine Hat, which became their new home. Nikki and Alex raised six children while building their company, Chisholm Electric, where she was the secretary for many years. She enjoyed golfing and travelling. Our family would like to thank the staff at Masterpiece, the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital 4 West and 2 North, Carmel Hospice (St. Joseph’s Home) as well as Dr. Jeraj and the Crescent Heights Medical Clinic. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Monday, from 9:00 to 10:55 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend. REIMERElfrieda Reimer, beloved wife of Peter Reimer of Medicine Hat, passed away suddenly from a stroke, with her family by her bedside at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on October 26, 2013, at the age of 71 years. She also leaves to cherish her memory two children, David (Colleen) and their children, Sydney and Cameron; Edward (Dorothy) and their children, Tianna and Kayla; one sister Mary Regier as well as her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Maria and Gerhard Pankratz. Born in Russia on February 2, 1942, Elfrieda immigrated to Canada in 1950 with her sister and mom, settling in Coaldale. Here she spent her childhood, youth, attended bible school and met the love of her life, Peter. They married on March 7, 1964, moved to Vauxhall and were blessed with two sons. They lived in various places until settling in Medicine Hat. Elfrieda was an active member at Crestwood Mennonite Brethren Church as a Sunday School teacher and anywhere there was a need. She loved children and helping them to know about Jesus. After her sons were older, she enjoyed babysitting and nurturing the lives of those children. She was so excited for the birth of her four grandchildren, who brought her much joy. She was very creative, enjoying painting, scrap booking and making hand crafted cards. In recent years, Peter and Elfrieda served at Camp Evergreen, helping out where they could. She weeded flower beds, did laundry, organized and spent time with staff. Elfrieda was known for her hugs, her listening ear and encouraging spirit. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday, from 12:00 noon – 12:55 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Crestwood Mennonite Brethren Church (2348 Dunmore Road SE) on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor John Willems officiating.
