.MICHAEL JAMES PAGE
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Michael, beloved son of Michelle and the late Donny Page, in his home, with his mommy by his side on October 21, 2013, at the age of 22 years. He also leaves to cherish his memory his grandmother, Katherine Andreas of Medicine Hat; his aunts and uncles: Jane (Larry) Goldade, Conrad (Janet) Andreas, Ernest (Paulette) Andreas, Lillian (Doug) Schweitzer, Cyril Andreas, Cameron (Kim) Andreas and Anita (Ralph) Kunz as well as many cousins. He will be greeted in heaven and into the arms of his daddy Donny and his grandfather John F. Andreas. Michael was born on March 16, 1991 in High River and was diagnosed at an early age, with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Despite his disability, Michael enjoyed and lived each day to the fullest, and never did he focus on himself, but rather on everyone else. He enriched and inspired all those who loved him and those whom he met. He attended St. Michael’s School and graduated from the Learning Assisted Program in 2009. He spent every summer at Camp Wannacombac and volunteered at the Esplanade. Michael will be remembered for his great love of playing video games and going out to the movies. He enjoyed community events and outings, as well participating in all the MD walks and fundraisers. His outgoing, loving and positive disposition was always evident. His quick and witty sense of humor, his inquisitive nature and need to ask questions will make all those who knew him smile. Michael truly inspired everyone he came into contact with. He will always be our shining star. A special mention of all his past and present care workers, Dawn, Marie, Debbie and Kera. Also, thank you to the Medicine Hat and Elkwater Fire Departments for all their home visits and the excellent work they do for the MD walks and fundraising events. Michael’s message to you is: “Don’t cry, be happy for me, as now I can do everything in heaven that I couldn’t do on earth”. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 12:30 – 1:25 p.m. Family and friends will gather for prayers in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated in Holy Family Parish (1451 Strachan Road SE) on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. with Fr.
