.1936 ~ RIEGER ~ 2013
Mrs. Eileen Rieger, beloved wife the late Gordon Rieger, passed away on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2013 at the age of 77 years. Eileen leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Catherine Bernhart; two sons, Larry (Nati) Heck and Brent Heck; one daughter, Danette (Clint) Seifert; three stepchildren, Joy (Darrell) Fischer, Floyd (Margaret) Rieger, and Sherry (Robert) Rieger-Gill; four grandchildren, Trisha (Jason) Rinke, Priscilla (Troy) Walker, Pamela (Steve) Grant, and Brandon Heck; six step grandchildren, Blair Rieger, Brian Rieger, Kerry Gill, Adam Seifert, Erin Seifert, and Hilary Siefert; six great-grandchildren, Meghan, Shaye, Haylee, Lillian, Victoria and Ryley; one step great-grandchild, Troy Seifert. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Gordon Dragland; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Eileen was predeceased by her father, Frank Bernhart; her first husband, Michael “Mike” Heck; her second husband, Gordon Rieger; one granddaughter, Tania Mastel; as well as her sister, Janette Dragland. Eileen was born in Lethbridge, Alberta and raised and educated in the Bow Island, Winnifred area. She met and married her first husband, Mike Heck, and they settled in Bow Island where they raised their family. Eileen would babysit and clean houses to help make money for the family. In 1977 the family moved to Medicine Hat where they continued to reside. Eileen said good-bye to her first husband Mike in 1994. In years to come she met Gordon Rieger and married Gordon in 2005. It was a wondrous three years until she had to say good-bye to Gordon as well in 2008. It was in her younger years she enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, playing cards, visiting with friends and family, reading and bowling. Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held in SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Sunday, October 6th, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 1451 Strachan Road SE, on Monday, October 7th, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. with Father Matthew Emmelkamp, celebrant. A private family interment will follow in the Roman Catholic section at Hillside Cemetery. Fredrick passed away October 3, 2013 peacefully at the Good Samaritan at the age of 97.
He was predeceased by his wife Hellena, July 2009, and leaves to cherish his memory daughter Ella (Ron), his grandsons Troy, daughter Morgan, Cory (Melissa) their children Paisley & Presley. Fred’s surviving brothers & sisters – Amelia Christman, Emma Haag, John Boettcher, Ruth Flagg, Bill Boettcher & Mary Fischer. The family has chosen to abide by his wishes and no service will be held.

It is with sadness that the family of Cliff Ainsworth announces his sudden passing at the age of 72 years. .DILLON GUCKERT
1983 ~ 2013
Dillon Troy Guckert, beloved son of Helen and Elliott Guckert, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Monday, September 30, 2013, at the age of 30 years. Along with his mother and father, Dillon’s memory will live on in the heart of his grandmother, Fanny Guckert, as well as the hearts of his numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Arnold and Nora Peterson; grandfather, Jack Guckert and one uncle, Harvey Guckert. Dillon’s smile brightened the room. He loved the outdoors, especially when the wind was blowing in his face and his favorite tunes were playing in the background. Dillon enjoyed swimming, bowling, and time spent with Dad watching his Roughriders play on TV. .DORIS IRENE KOMAR
March 7, 1941 – October 3, 2013
Doris Irene Komar, age 72, passed away in Medicine Hat after a brief struggle, on Thursday, October 3rd, 2013.
Born March 7th, 1941 in Saskatchewan, she lived a full life with her spouse of 53 years, Steve and her three children, Stephanie, Kevin, and Keith. Doris was predeceased by her son Kevin in 1995. Doris leaves to cherish her memory her grandchildren, Quinton David, Taylor Jayne; and extended family in Alberta and Saskatchewan. There will be no service. A celebration of Doris’s life will take place at a later date. Gone but never forgotten.

Keith May of Medicine Hat passed away on Friday, September 27, 2013, at the age of 46 years. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Rose May (Lloyd McLachlan); his grandparents, Breketa Mardian and Philip Mardian, all of Medicine Hat; his Godparents, Tom (Beatrice) May as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Garry May on January 30, 2005; his two brothers, Dwayne May on October 31, 2005 and Barry May on May 1, 2012; his grandparents, Henry (Martha) May; his great grandmother, Rosalie Steinkey and great grandfather, George Steinkey.
