BAYERFred Adam Bayer passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013, at the age of 87 years, beloved husband of Helen D. Bayer of Medicine Hat. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday evening, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 12:00 noon – 12:55 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and NWT Palliser Chapter, 401D 3rd St. SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 0G8 or to the Margery E. DEISHattie Veronica Deis of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at the age of 80 years, beloved wife of the late Peter W. Deis. She leaves to cherish her memory five children, Debbie Rebmann, Robert (Diane) Deis, Tim Deis, Lori Blue, David (Darlene) Deis and daughter-in-law Judy Deis; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Joe Moser and Dick (Marilyn) Moser; two sisters, Isobel (Mark) Lerner and Kay (Allen) Woelfle, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Frances and George Moser; her husband Peter on January 3, 2007; and one sister Agnes Beardmore. Hattie graduated high school from St. Theresa Academy in Medicine Hat, and during this time she was also employed by the Redcliff Glass factory. She then continued her education in nursing for one year in Victoria, BC. Later, Hattie taught school for one year in a small country school house located in Richmound, Saskatchewan. Hattie met her husband Peter Deis in Medicine Hat. Here is where they settled down to raise their family. She was a very devoted mother and wife. Hattie enjoyed playing Bridge, dancing, as well as, she was very creative with skills in sewing and culinary foods. Hattie served faithfully as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for many years.
