Pancake breakfast events a tasty part of Whoop-Up Days fun

By Lethbridge Herald on August 17, 2023.

Whoop-Up Days means cotton candy, midway rides, rodeo and fun for the whole family. And part of the fun when the annual event kicks off next week are the pancake breakfasts being staged around the city.
While Whoop-Up Days doesn’t officially get started until Tuesday morning with the annual parade featuring marshal Corb Lund, southern Albertans can prepare for the festivities with two events on Monday.
Lethbridge MP Rachael Thomas will host her annual free pancake breakfast Monday from 7:30 until 10 a.m. at PiP International, located at 4085 2 Ave. S.
While not a breakfast, on Tuesday mayor Blaine Hyggen will get the party rolling into high gear after the parade with the Mayor’s Community Barbecue running from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at City Hall. The barbecue is free for the first 1,000 people and features entertainment by local country star Trevor Panczak.
Following is a list of breakfasts that we’ve been able to compile this week. If you are hosting one, please contact editor@lethbridgeherald.com and we will update the list as Whoop-Up Days nears.
