RCMP arrest escaped Crowsnest Pass suspect

A man wanted by the Crowsnest Pass RCMP earlier this week has been located and taken into custody.
On Oct. 14, Crowsnest Pass RCMP had arrested a male on outstanding warrants. At roughly 2:15 p.m. that same day the suspect, Samuel Shawn Fralick, who was restrained with handcuffs was being placed in a police vehicle outside the RCMP Detachment when he allegedly assaulted an RCMP officer and escaped custody. The officer pursued the suspect but was unable to locate him.
RCMP Police Dog Services were called, however search efforts did not locate the suspect. Police believe he may have been picked up by a passing motorist.
Fralick, 24, of Blairmore, Alta. was wanted on warrants for assault, flight from police and fail to comply with conditions.
Charges were also pending regarding the most recent incident.
On Wednesday at 12:15 p.m., the Southern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit (SAD CRU) located Samuel Shawn Fralick in Coalhurst, Alta. SAD CRU, with the assistance of Coaldale RCMP, arrested Fralick. He remains in custody awaiting a judicial hearing.
