A Taber man facing numerous charges after an alleged rural property crime spree earlier this year will hope to resolve some of them when his case returns to court in Lethbridge today.
The Coaldale/Picture Butte RCMP received numerous reports of break and enters over the span of a few weeks back in late January and early February. According to police, two suspects were located and arrested on Feb. 5 in Coaldale, putting to an end an alleged property crime spree that had extended across southern Alberta.
Crimes were committed in Picture Butte, Coaldale, Coalhurst and Lethbridge County. Numerous RCMP and municipal police jurisdictions combined their resources to assist with the investigation. Items stolen in the spree included expensive medications, a firearm, ammunition, laptop computers, and a large amount of cash– some of which were later recovered.
Henry Neudorf, 23, was charged with eight counts of break, enter and theft at the time and released from custody with various conditions. On top of these eight original charges, Neudorf also faces about 30 additional charges including shopbreaking, failure to comply with release conditions, fraud under $5,000, and operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended licence.
Neudorf was co-accused in the alleged rural crime spree with Isaak Klassen Dyck, 34, of Lethbridge.
