New COVID-19 case at Catholic Central High School

The Holy Spirit Catholic School Division has been informed of some cases of COVID-19 at Catholic Central High School in Lethbridge over the weekend, bringing the total active cases in the division to 11.
The HSCSD learned of one more case at Catholic Central Saturday night, bringing the total to four at that school.
As of Saturday, this also includes two at Father Leonard Van Tighem School, one at St. Catherine School in Picture Butte, one at St. Joseph School in Coaldale, two at St. Mary School in Taber and one at St. Paul School, requiring the isolation of roughly 300 staff and students.Â
All close contacts have been informed and are required to quarantine while following the directives provided by Alberta Health Service.Â
The division continues to work closely with AHS to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff.
In accordance with AHS guidelines, further details about members of the community who may test positive for COVID-19 cannot be disclosed.
