OTTAWA — King Charles has departed Canada on a Canadian Armed Forces plane after delivering the throne speech in Ottawa.

The King and Queen Camilla spent about 24 hours in Ottawa after being invited by Prime Minister Mark Carney to read the throne speech as Canada asserts itself as a sovereign nation.
