OTTAWA — Prime Minister Mark Carney is tapping Anita Anand as his new foreign affairs minister, replacing Mélanie Joly who held the role since 2021 and is moving to industry.

Meanwhile, Chrystia Freeland keeps her role in transport while François-Philippe Champagne will retain the reins at finance.
