Canadians, world leaders congratulate Mark Carney and Liberals on election win

OTTAWA — Reaction is pouring in from across Canada and the globe after Prime Minister Mark Carney led the Liberal party to victory in Monday’s federal election.

It’s the party’s fourth straight election win, although it’s still not clear if the Liberals will have a minority or majority government.

Here’s a look at what notable Canadians, premiers, world leaders and other prominent figures are saying:

“Congratulations Mark Carney on your election as Prime Minister. We look forward to building up this country with you. Congratulations as well to all the Manitoba MPs elected and those who put their name forward. We look forward to continuing to work together to build up MB.” — Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew.
