The federal government has tapped a Quebec judge to head a public inquiry into allegations of foreign interference in Canada's affairs. OTTAWA – Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc says a national public inquiry into foreign meddling in Canada’s affairs will examine allegations of interference by China, Russia and other foreign states and non-state actors.
LeBlanc, who is also the minister for democratic institutions, says the inquiry will study allegations related to the 2019 and 2021 federal elections and report by the end of next year.
