Montreal police say 175 officers are conducting search and seizures in connection with a homicide last month in the city’s east end.
The operation is in connection with the killing of an 18-year-old man in the Anjou district on March 19.
The seizures taking place across four boroughs include officers with the Montreal, Longueuil, Que., and provincial police forces.
Montreal’s sixth homicide of 2023 occurred around 10 p.m. on March 19 when the victim was gunned down on the sidewalk.
The suspect or suspects in the case reportedly fired from a vehicle and quickly fled.
Montreal police say they will provide an update later today on the operation.
