Police seek witnesses, camera footage of serious accident

Medicine Hat police are asking members to reach out if they witnessed or may have dash camera footage of a serious collision on Mar. 3 on Altawana Drive near Seventh Street N.

Police say they are still investigating after a northbound vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed lost control and collided with a southbound vehicle before coming to rest against a retaining wall at approximately 9:45 p.m.

The driver of the northbound vehicle, a 65-year-old female, was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police closed traffic along Division Avenue between Eighth Street N and Parkview Drive for several hours following the collision.

Traffic officers are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have been driving in the area at that time and may have dash camera footage to contact police at 403-529-8481.
