Pair of TREX art exhibitions opening at Medalta

Two new TREX exhibitions are opening at Medalta this week.

The two shows from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts Travelling Exhibition program will kick off with a reception at the Yuill Family Gallery at Medalta Friday evening.

The event will feature talks from the artists, light refreshments, drinks available for purchase and live music from a local performer.

The two exhibitions, “Collision Course” and “The Looking Glass,” each include interactive elements for visitors to engage with.

“Collision Course” includes an interactive collage-making station that invites visitors of all ages to contribute to a collaborative community collage.

“The Looking Glass” features a room of mirrors that offer visitors the opportunity to literally step into a world of self-reflection.

The exhibitions will run from Mar. 6 to Apr. 4.

Doors open for Friday’s reception at 6:30 p.m. Artist talks begin at 7 p.m.
