Pembina Pipeline recently donated a truck load of STEM kits, which include LEGO, to the Medicine Hat Public School Division.

Last week the school division received several hands-on LEGO SPIKE kits, which include lego pieces designed for students that include programmable hardware, motors, sensors and colourful building elements.

The kits are designed to promote critical thinking, robotics and problem-solving skills for students in Grade 1-8 and can cost up to several hundred dollars per kit.

MHPSD says it has already added the Lego kits into classrooms, and students have already had an opportunity to explore coding, problem-solving and design thinking.

“We’re grateful for community partnerships that help inspire curiosity, creativity and real-world learning experience for students,” reads a release.
